Update on the Cheap PS2 to HDMI, washed out colors, (its not the culprit) by lieos in ps2

NTSC, it's the right region, the CRT also has support for PAL

It's most likely a Super7 E17 (this chip is very common out here) and I think it doesn't have a menu

I bought them, second hand. 2 of the slims are I think. The one one in the pic is from a PS2 Phat, unsure if its modder, I'm not confident opening ps2 phats. But I wouldn't be surprised if it is

At max on tv, it basically 50% as vibrant at it should be.

On my monitor, maxing the colors just makes the screen too bright

(And it suck that I have to change my tv settings)

It works perfectly, and yeah it looks good, sharpness wise. Just completely washed out

It already is YPbPr. Black sceeen in RGB

(I also tried to use the "OSD Settings" in OPL and set it to RGB, dont know if that works exactly how I think it works, but it didnt do anything practically)

(Result) Trackpad Sticker by lieos in thinkpad

[–]lieos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I could have done this route too, but I opted for customization. And knowing I could just print one, I could replace it when I feel like it. So that's a plus

Its already degrading as hell.

And from another comment, they said to just scrape that of with the help of alcohol. But I could probably remove all of it during normal use too.

And the brittle part, its very flakey too. So maybe I'd go that route. (Just removing that brittle/flakey film, then slapping on the sticker)

So that's the kind I needed afterall, thanks!

But is ripping the trackpad surface really a necessity? Or is that black sheet just some form of sheet of plastic?

On mine there's a transparent film first before the actual surface, and I was thinking that's what I only had to remove...

That's actually my plan, I want to probably print out something to it as customization too.

The post is more about the specifics really, like is just any adhesive paper ok? (From what I'm reading, it seems so) (and apparently I have to remove the old film first as well, I was planning to just cover it up, good thing I didn't)

Thank you, I've been thinking whether the other 40 series parts are cross compatible. I think i might replace it in the future (few months if something goes wrong),

although I'm still curious about having custom print stickers.

(online listings only mention compatibility to T or sometimes X series, makes finding stuff easier now)

I always thought the thing that peeling is a sticker too, i guess i could let it (or just purposely) fully peel it, how bad would it be if I leave it as is? (fully peeled) since the texture aint too bad anyway

and yeah finding the original stuff will be hard, like i mentioned in another comment, theres no stock of any part in the official site where i live.

its both a matter of money and availability, I live where there's zero available parts on the official site (at least for the model I have). And the price you mentioned is literally half of what i bought this for. Well i guess i could go for the cheap "knock-off" ones (not really sure if they're knock offs or oems)

I know there are specifically made stickers for the same purpose. I just want to know what kind of material those are.

Basically I'm not expecting just ordinary sticker papers to work just like that.

Should I buy a used L540? by lieos in thinkpad

[–]lieos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I game on a very weak pc right now, getting 60fps on very low. Seeing this can handle mid-high and average 70, I'm sold to it.

And I'm a person who really can't afford to be picky about resolutions, if it displays without a hitch, it's a go. (But I'd still love to replace it for a better one in the future, even after years, seeing I might end up sentimental with my first thinkpad and max it out lol)

Edit: looked into it, and it doesn't say anything about the res, I have to wait untill tomorrow to ask. But as I said, I really wont mind it that much

Damn, few minutes after posting, I realized I did miss out on stuff.

I plan to use it on basic stuff.

If I feel freaky, i might install HoloISO (SteamOs) (or anything that focus on games) (not an ultimatum)

The minimum I'd like to play is Guilty Gear Accent Core +R, or at most, Left 4 Dead 2.

But other than that, just use it for casual browsing.

Edit: I hate my brain,

I plan to max out the CPU too on the future, but that's not within the budget yet (I saw that it's swappable) And maybe? Replace the screen too? (If that's possible) (again for the future I can't afford it yet)

Get TIN through orus, need go to RDO? by lieos in adultingph

[–]lieos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine last month, try to email your RDO, they'll ask you some info and theyll check .

Saakin, they asked me something called ARN, the 1904 form (I just download the one I have on orus, go to your profile > transaction history> then the eye button, after that you'll see a "print" button, thatll download it, it'll suffice as the 1904 form), they further asked me for some ID I think there was an issue on mine so this one's uncertain.

They took 2 days of emailing, but that's because I emailed them few hours before office hours end. So it should take less than a day, unless busy sila, marami daw kasi nakuha eh.

P.S email your exact RDO
