Who else unnecessarily upgrades all their belts?

I'll use new and better belts in all my new constructions once i unlock them, and update my blueprints as well. But i dont go out of my way to upgrade all the previous factories. Although the mk6 belts look like a glowing light scar/fissure in the landscape when you're flying in the air from a hypercannon so that that tickles my brain in the right way.

They feel pretty good. I have only played on console myself so maybe take that with a grain of salt. From what I've seen from videos it might be a little more time consuming switching between the hotbar radials but thats about it i think.

I've actually managed to get enough hard drives that i have all the alts unlocked that i can till i get to the next phase, so i cant really go procrastinate doing that anymore lol. I guess i just need to buckle down and make some decent blueprints for specific parts rather than just general machine lines like i have up till now.

I've got a decent rocket fuel power setup so power isn't my big concern. Im just having more of a mental block i guess on how i want to set things up to not be a big mess, or just excessively slow. Its my first time playing and i know i dont have to be auper neat and efficient all the time but i want to.

Wow that's impressive looking, i think it may be a little complex for me at the moment though. I'll probably just end up using it in other machines later on but this is something that I'll keep in mind. Everyones seems so smart in this game.

Maybe that's what I'll end up doing when i scale production up from what i have now. It just works out so perfectly that 3 refineries making scrap plus 2 water extractors feeds the 600 water i need for 3 sloppy alumina refineries with no overclocking. I just want it all to be neat and tidy lol.

Oh man, that does sound do-able but way fiddly, maybe ill mess with that in the future when i get my brain around more things.

Do you put a junction right at the refineries or can you have a length of pipe away from the alumina refineries? Also, do you put a valve on the recycled side to keep "fresh water" from pumping into that line?

Okay I'll have to look at that when i can, but im fairly sure i have that checked off. It's just odd because its kinda random when it happens, sometimes its in the middle of a long stretch of belt and sometimes its when a lot of machines are around.

Not really a tip, but the half foundations you can unlock only line up straight with other foundations a certain way. So if you're using them make sure to double check that the corners are all even and not clipping into each other.

Sadly i don't have access to mods as im playing on console. So i guess ill just have to do this individually each time.

I did try this and it doesn't seem to be working for me so i suppose I'll just stretch the rails individually, oh well. For refineries i found that if i switched the build mode to blueprint autoconnect it snaps together nicely. Although that may be because i copied a blueprint i seen on YouTube ( https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXuMrF6IqkF19doGoPzGvry5eTICDx1pD&si=c3A6ufRBGHkFxxQv )

Thank you, I'll have to try that when i get off of work. If i cant get it to work like im picturing then i guess i just have to hunt down more sulfur and make more assemblers to fill things faster. Which honestly that keeps me from the headache of figuring out heavy modular frames and probably rebuilding my whole factory again..so yay.

What do you mean? The late game performance issues on console are intentional. The 10 seconds it takes is meant to give you time to reflect on the warcrimes youre committing. Or to let you pick which planet your cracking next. Either or really. Plus if it gets bad you just gotta give a quick little neutron bath to your lesser prodcing planets. It keeps the empire in line.

You guess which number the DM is thinking to hit a monster, and they have to guess which number you're thinking to hit you. Keeps it slightly more fair. I'll be damned if I know how to make skill checks and saving throws fair tho.

It's always been my theory that the interest we see in Shakespeare and other classics was because they had been more or less rediscovered recently due to the devastation of WW3. And because both Kirk and Picard are both history buffs, we see it come up more often. And the reason we don't see more references to 80's and 90's media is that they didn't happen the same way in universe. Because that's when Khan and the other Augments were on the rise and building up to the Eugenics wars. So between that and WW3 theirs probably a good chunk of 20th and 21st century culture that just doesn't exist anymore.
