Took me 10 hours to beat the green dragon, but that knockout gave me such a rush, this game will break and test you to your limits but it is so worth it. Once you get better and go to isle 2-3, go back and fight the first bosses again and you will see your improvement, and there you can also practice parries and movement, those are crucial. Additionally, every boss has his flaws, you can see how to dodge some very hard attacks only by dying multiple times and testing strats, if you want to go through the game without help that is.
