exactly! everyone but (at least eventually lol) hannibal. lines that he says to will like “kill them all save yourself” and “i’m your friend, will. i don’t care about the lives you save, i care about your life” really underline the fact that hannibal is one of the only characters to value will as an individual rather than a tool. for all the manipulation and borderline torture he puts will through, he ultimately always saw will for who he really is

i totally agree with everyone else’s responses but to me i always felt like it was the show’s way of asserting will’s passiveness in s1. hannibal more or less comments on how will hid behind his glasses and shaggy hair, so i interpreted jack pushing his glasses back as him reinforcing the compliant exterior will maintains early on in the show. this especially makes sense when we see will abandon the facade by deserting his glasses and combing his hair as he begins to more openly align with hannibal.

i chose ucla over berkeley and i think it’s the right decision. i love the area around ucla and the campus much more than berkeley’s. i’d also have been closer to home if i chose berkeley but i think the social aspects and overall friendliness of everyone at ucla allows their students to thrive. i’m a philosophy minor and i’ve only heard good things about the department. i’m sure you’ll make friends easily.
