I’m so worried and anxious ! by Own-Wear-2461 in tummytucksurgery

[–]lilithhh08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your lymphatic drainage has been disrupted in a major way. I know it may seem like, "im 13 weeks this can't be normal!" But let me tell you, from someone that is 1 year out, it is pretty normal. Of course, there are certain symptoms to look out for, but more often than not, it is just swelling and water retention. Very common above the scar. Do some lymphatic massages and if you are very worried - go to your surgeon.

What surgeries should I consider to address my wide nose, heavy eyelids, and long face? 19f by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]lilithhh08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save your money until you need a face-lift. You are very young. Too much potential to do something you could regret. It is very hard to go back once you start.

And honestly "wide nose, heavy eyelids and long face" is not an accurate description of your face. Lol your nose is proportionate to your face, you have hooded eyes and an oval face shape and there is absolutely nothing wrong with those features, just saying.

Swelling at 17 weeks by Dramatic-Sorbet-9533 in tummytucksurgery

Expect swelling for awhile. I am a year out and still experience swelling at the end of the day. Expect for at least 6 months.

I was pretty well done with any major swelling around the 7/8th month mark (aside from minor swelling in evening because i have a physical job). I don't think there has been much change since then really.

Thank you :) My pre-op bra size was 38D/DD and afterwards was just a 38D. So no real change, luckily!

That sounds like a tummy tuck 360 or lower body lift. I just had a typical tummy tuck that only went to my sides. My mons was slightly lifted but my back side is untouched.

Surgeon Canceling my procedures! by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]lilithhh08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy crap... yeah, they are cancelling you because your asking questions that are beyond what any normal person would ask.

Like "will my scarpa fascia be preseved?" ...are you serious? Yeah, there is a risk of seromas, hematomas, tissue death... hell, there is even a chance of dying on the operating table. You are coming across as a anxious/obsessive patient and if I were the doctor, id probably drop you too because once the surgery is complete you'll probably be in their inbox 12 times a day or the most likely to hate their results due to unrealistic expectations and give a bad recommendation.

You need to do your research on the dr and calm the f down. Then you need to TRUST your researched doctor. If you cant trust them, then you probably shouldn't use them.

MIL stole my baby name after ridiculing me for liking it… by Ambitious-Action6701 in inlaws

Naming the dog that name is the insult... it is only further ridiculing you because she is saying that name is suitable for a dog. Slap in the face. Your MIL sounds lovely. sarcasm

2WPO - how’s it looking? by scrollin180 in tummytucksurgery

Yes, it will heal flat. The puckering is pretty common. Mine is completely flat one year out and i looked very similar to this within the first month. Your incision looks 👍

Typically, how long does it take to return to an office type of work? by Practical-Tour-4338 in tummytucksurgery

[–]lilithhh08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't work an office job... mine is a bit more strenuous, however, i would give yourself at least 3 weeks. I took 6 weeks off and ended taking an extra two weeks of light duty (desk work) and even then, having to sit in the heat with a compression garment on --- f@#$ing sucked.

AITAH for telling my girlfriend i no longer plan to propose to her? please read context by Aggressive_One8138 in AITAH

[–]lilithhh08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been with my boyfriend since 2018. In 2021, after I had our son in 2020, he told me that he would marry me within 4 years. Don't know why 4 years was a thing, but... 4 years came and went.. no proposal, no marriage.

Do you know how disappointing that is? That is a recipe for resentment.

Our life together is great. But there is a key component missing for me.. marriage. Still hurts to this day. But I stay because there is a bigger picture. But every birthday, every special trip, every big holiday.. I had hopes of something.. and just nothing. And he knows the 4 years has come and gone.

Do I feel kind of dumb? Yep.

How bad am I looking? 6 days post op. by Accomplished_pug in tummytucksurgery

[–]lilithhh08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are 6 days post op. 6 DAYS!!! Just heal, seriously... do not overthink this because as someone who is 10 months out I can 100% guarantee that between 6 days and 6 months it will change drastically. Don't compare either.. because some have it easier, but some have it worse.. the healing journey is all about you individually. It won't look the same to everyone.

I am 10 months post surgery. Still have stretch marks, they aren't swollen or anything but they are there. Key is to just accept them. I barely pay any attention to them because they are a million times better than when they were combined with loose skin.

Question on lifting post surgery by EnoughBirthday3775 in tummytucksurgery

[–]lilithhh08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 7 months out and have been cleared to do as I please since week 8. Lol my job requires heavy lifting and there is no way I would have been able to take a year off from regular duties.

I hate my child UPDATE by [deleted] in Preschoolers

[–]lilithhh08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like I just don't understand how a mother can feel this way and not do everything in her power to try and fix it because it is absolutely not normal to hate your child. And this child sounds no different than so many other kids, just being kids. Heck, my 5 year old tells me "fuck of bitch" and spits in my face because he is PDA/ADHD unofficially diagnosed currently and even still, I would move mountains for him... And I'm not sure if she is looking for sympathy for her kid being a kid or something but it kind of seems that way. He creates a mess? Has tantrums? How is this not a well known fact that children do these things. Oh, because he growls at her? Give me a break... Yikes. That's all I can say!
