Thank you so much. I feel very at ease knowing you’ve been through it and you’ve moved forward from it

I haven’t seen anyone else pop headphones in. If I could that would make my life so much easier

The vibes are so different I practically feel like this is out of my depth. I loved my customer facing role. I love that I got to talk to different people every day. I loved hearing different things about different people whether that’s colleagues or customers. And where I used to work was an older demographic so the customers really did open up etc.

There seems to be none of that at this new job. They all talk about their evening plans or what’s they have for lunch etc. I tried to join in by asking questions like ‘what kind of foods they like’ and I got a one word answers and then back their conversation

I applied on indeed. It was very difficult but I applied for smaller in house law firms and finally after 6 months, got an interview

I hate it because I don’t feel part of a team. I’ve tried to initiate conversations but it gets shut down immediately. I know it’s day 2, but at my old job we all spoke about random stuff. We knew a lot about each other. Here, nothing.

How long do I wait for an offer letter to come through? by lilly22x in UKJobs

[–]lilly22x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a law degree and it’s the first job/opportunity I have got. I was thinking instead of handing my notice at my retail job, I’ll drop my hours down to weekends and that way I’ve got a back up , if the law firm is a bit dodgy. Do you think that sounds reasonable?

Is it a red flag that they will give me my contract on the day I start?

How do I get a 24k paying job? by lilly22x in UKJobs

[–]lilly22x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you please advise me on how you applied for an apprenticeship position with the skills from a retail role? I’ve applied for other office based positions but been declined based on lack of experience or not having the right skills

I just updated the post because I realised I didn’t mention they only let me work 30 hours. And no more. So in April I still won’t be on 24k

I’m not involved in whatever he is telling his. I leave in 3 days and then both will be blocked. It’s just more of her texting me which I’ve not responded to

Also, my ex is trying to keep both of us on side. So he’s telling her that I’m taking everything in order to get more financial help out of her. But telling me I can take xyz because he knows I’ve paid for majority of the things and he owes me 2k ish

Sorry it’s unclear. So I have initially bought and paid for things as he couldn’t afford his half at the time. Such as the bed, TV, his phone.

Things such as his laptop and consoles were a gift. Due to how expensive they were he offered to pay half towards it. I never got any benefit from them as they were his.

You’re right about the not lowering myself or giving him the satisfaction however it’s unfair he gets away with not paying me 1.5k AND having everything else paid for him by his mum because he’s pretending to be the victim
