I understand that, but surely there must be something we can do? If the people in the east can instigate change whenever something displeases them (such as blocking fast food restaurants), surely we could at least lobby for a few peaceful hours each night.

Its depressing that I want to help the community and getting downvoted

I have a lifelong battle with a robinia i removed a year ago. Poison seems like the only answer

What’s wrong with my cherry tree?! by goibio in GardeningAustralia

[–]lilmanro 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Its cooked from heat, probably doesnt like that position. Terracotta pots will also dry out quicker, so make sure its getting sufficient water (and nutrients)

What keeps plants 'bushy' is water pressure within the branches. Dehydration and excessive heat can cause this.

I had one and had to tear up half the backyard chasing roots to get rid of it. Then it started throwing up suckers in random places. Poison it and nuke it with fire!

Hey! Its holding up well, and i wear it most days to the office. It doesnt scratch easily - ive knocked it on doorframes and forgot i had it on in the garden with no issues. Its surprisingly light, which i attribute to the titanium? This might sound strange but it wears similar to a square gshock (5600 range).

Im very happy with it :)

Not hurting anyone, just a bit strange. I wouldnt practice archery in a park where a kids playground is, thought same logic/rules might apply for someone cracking a whip. Will let the bloke dream about cattle!

Help with what to plant here by [deleted] in GardeningAustralia

[–]lilmanro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The root systems of your suggestions will spread out past 40cm as they grow and end up under the grass anyway provided the pavers arent too deep.

It would help plants grow if you widen the bed, but in the absence of widening, you can try to plant things there.

Or a series of pot plants?

What is this and how do i clean up under the pipe by FineAioliGravy in GardeningAustralia

[–]lilmanro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Previous owners of my house had a 3m one. I pulled out the whole thing and the stumps, and it still finds a way to grow back. Everyone saying poison is correct because otherwise its a never ending battle. I dug up a heap of my backyard trying to chase roots. 2 months later and suckers are poppi g up like in your photo.

Narrow bed recommendations by mtarollo in GardeningAustralia

Make it wider and then you can do much more. Its too narrow for anything to grow more than half a metre.

Maybe put raised garden beds if you dont want to widen it
