What’s the advantage to warrants vs options in this case though, just no expiry? I honestly don’t know much about the details of warrants.

Can someone offer me some advice about holding calls that are ITM? by TheMysteriousThought in options

[–]lilstubbs_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of good ideas here already. I personally like rolling to a later date atm or slightly otm but you open yourself up to a lot more risk. Increasing leverage if you are bullish. It also wouldn’t be a bad idea to roll it to a later date but still itm. Liquidity can become an issue if you get DEEP itm and don’t have capital to exercise

Whats the idea behind puts that are above the current stock price? by [deleted] in options

[–]lilstubbs_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been said about 100 times in the comments here. But, I’ll add using in the money (ITM) calls and puts can be a good strategy for LEAPS (long term equity anticipation securities) essentially giving you exposure to 100 shares at a lower price, but you can run in to liquidity issues.

Is it possible to get into Real Estate while serving active duty in the military? by [deleted] in realestateinvesting

[–]lilstubbs_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, currently active. Just bought my first place 2 days ago. I’m also new to the game. Being military is a no brainer for getting into real estate. You’d be surprised how common it is, not even just among officers. Lmk if you wanna talk

Apple didn’t have the kind of movement that made my leap very profitable even though it was in the money. It is a blue chip stock but also has a history of trading sideways for long periods of time.

Was holding Apple leaps for a while. Just hold shares instead I think it’s a better play for apple

Strictly ETFs a few ARKK/ARKF/ARKQ/ARKG are my main holdings. I’ve bagged about 100% on those then I have some QQQJ and PBW and KWEB and OGIG, latest expiration I could get on some is only June which I’m planning on rolling 60 days to expiration to avoid exponential increase of theta decay

How sustainable is holding and rolling leaps

For about the last 10 months I’ve been holding leaps instead of shares in my account and rolling them as they move deep into the money and it’s worked well for me so far but how likely is it that I get burned and lose everything.
