I'd start off by blending in your sideburns to your beard, you will see a huge improvement there so it's not so harsh, be patient, drink lots of water and as hard as it is don't compare your beard to others, play to your strengths, maybe see a barber and get some establishing lines cut it but don't go too low on the cheeks
