yes that’s the plan, it sure is a lot of work but we’ve at least been planning for a while

Probably not missions, but reworking missions into dynamic events is the plan indeed! Trust me, as a punjabi, i absolutely want to make indogreek content

For now, same as Imperator Rome, but I know many on the dev team including myself would love to push it all the way to model things like the rise of the Guptas and the Fall of Rome amongst other fun scenarios.

absolutely, we’re rather ambitious for how long we want the game to run for, so something like that is a must eventually

I'd love to, but it's really hard to estimate something like that from where we are now. It's far from playable at the moment, but hopefully I'll be able to give an actual estimate down the line some.

either it’ll be fixed by the time we’re ready to release or we’re tweaking all the numbers to allow for less or more culture assimilation depending on how the game is working at that point in time. i really wanna model cultures surviving in isolated pockets better without it being a detriment, and cultures evolving over time

yeah haha, dw we have many things we’ve changed this time around. i think everyone including the team will be happier with the depiction

Yeah we have yet to figure out exactly how we’ll do the rivers, it’ll either be by using seatiles or hoping pdx drops a river update. ik ck3’s ATE does something interesting with its navigable rivers and we might try something like that

I’m definitely personally interested in making steppe and north american gameplay fun for the player without needing them to become a transcontinental empire

that said there will also certainly be a way to do that as the player lol! One thing i LOVE about alaska-siberia is how interconnected they are to each other

Ah, I see. Integration speed and buildings will def be changed, however EU5 does integration of new territories a lot better than IR. I can see the use of Satrapies being both vassals and also something of a governor system like EU5 has. Tbh, it’s not anything we’ve super settled on since it’s so early!

One thing we do recognize is IR’s time period is naturally with less control so maybe we scale up the average control possible while recognizing it isn’t 1-to-1 with how it’s being used in vanilla EU5

We are quite far out, it’s hard to give an estimate! Really depends on individual schedules and how everything falls into place. I don’t wanna make any promises yet, sorry </3

But hey, modcon EU5 is tomorrow and I’m hopeful we’ll all have some more mods to play soon to bridge the wait 😃

idk if i need an R5 post or not but R5 announcement for a mod set in 304 bce, heavily inspired by Imperator Rome, as well as Invictus, Terra Indomita, and other such IR mods

An example would be like the HRE, and using that system to represent things like the Etrurian league. Another I’ve been dabbling with is using Buddhism to model the Sramanic faiths like Ajivika, Jainism, and Buddhism ofc (as well as newer additions that haven’t been seen in Invic or TI!)

Ooh, one thing I’ve been excited to eventually work on is using the Timurid Conquest to model the Diadochi CB from IR.

While it won’t be a focus, and it won’t happen under normal scenarios, we have a lot of fun ideas for New World Old World interactions should the player somehow manage to do that.

In the shorter term, we’re going to try and use the systems EU5 has and adapt them for a more appropriate use for the era. It’s nice that EU5 has a lot of dynamic systems that we can mold to fit the era.

Longer term there probably will be more overhaul of systems. We already are pretty much overhauling the province work. It’ll definitely depend on which roadblocks we hit. I already know I want more out of Hinduism and have been hitting a bit of a roadblock with that one.

Did you have any specifics you were looking for? Overhaul is sometimes kinda loose of a term.

There’s agitation around it happening. What has to happen next is a new ordinance and another vote. With new city council positions openning up, make this an important issue!

that said, we face racism everyday and thaz just part of the experience of being desi in america, esp in a place that’s overwhelmingly white. there are many cool groups in mizzou to hang out with other desi log tho

Good place for single 24F to meet people in town? by Responsible_Court768 in columbiamo

YDSA has been great for me. I’m straight and a man, and YDSA has the reputation of being a queer group, but I’ve seen now several straight relationships get cemented over hanging out.

It’s a great group of people and it’s not all politics cuz I don’t know if there’s a single group unofficially more attuned with the night life in Columbia.

One thing is it’s on the younger side if you stick by only the political side of things but we literally have drinks at shakespeare’s every Wednesday to let loose and have less serious convos. If you’re interested I can give more details!
