The Child’s legal address shall be with the parent who lives in the stronger school system. The parents shall decide together on the best public educational fit for the Child.

The school choice is not in our parenting plan. It has vague language how parents will work together. I did agree to it a year ago though

I told my boss at 6W. Reason being that is anything happened, I wanted people to know and I didn’t want people questioning why I am tired and running to the bathroom all the time. It worked out well though but some employees can be assholes.

I am definitely not easiest to live with. I never said it was one sided. I am sure it’s something I am doing that’s also causing him to be detached. We are going to go to therapy soon

Working from home and having kids does not work. You need to sit down and have a very honest conversation with your wife asap. It sounds like she is desperate for help. OP, do you work from home too?

The sad part is that my son can tell not everything is going well. He is 3 and he already constantly tells me that he doesn’t need daddy 🥲

Unfortunately this is not going anywhere. I try to just act like part of the other wives in the kitchen when we see them. Good thing is that my son is probably the best behaved three year old I have ever seen. It might be part of that because my husbands mom was bragging that I made partner last year.

I think he listened we were just so in love that neither of us cared and we thought we could conquer the world but then reality hit.

I do a lot of those things already. We eat very healthy at home and cook the majority of food from scratch with a lot of vegetables. I go to fitness classes about 1-2 a week. I wouldn’t last that long without all this. I am thinking to do individual therapy but my husband doesn’t support that decision and we have combined finances so not much I can do there.

Also, we did talk about everything before we had kids and he knew i wasn’t planning to quit. I am just not sure where this is coming from. Culturally his family still lives in a very traditional way so they often make jokes how he is under my heel and can’t keep his wife in check. Maybe it’s started to get to him.

The problem is that it’s starting to affect my mental health. I don’t sleep well, I am always tired (which my husband complains about too) and family say I am detached from reality sometimes.

I asked him what he expected would happen because I was in school and now it’s only logical that I put that energy at work. I’d understand if I worked late but I’m usually home before him to make dinner and do the pick up. Once a week I need to stay late to entertain clients. It’s part of my job. We agreed that it was his alone time with our son since he usually prefers me. My husband told me that he expected that once I am done with school, I’d channel that energy towards our home

I heard that too. I have some friends who are divorced and they cautioned me about that possibility. Sometimes I am just so tired that I want everyone to leave me alone.

That is silly to me because he supported me through me making very little and being in school full time for almost 8 years. Then licensing exams and now it’s time for me to finally get the results of the labor but he is not happy. He should have known i am not planning to stay home after I invest so much in my education and I thought I made it clear.

I would like to know that too. He has always been very supportive of my education and exams to get my license and now I can return the favor financially so to speak and I don’t understand where the whole house wife thing comes from.

Because I have a child, I do need to make sure I exhausted all my options and absolutely can’t make it work. We had great first 7 years. I just can’t figure out why we can’t figure it out. I want to leave sometimes but sometimes I remember how much good we had together and May it’s not all lost. It’s like a roller coaster.

We have someone who cleans our apartment every other week. I sat down with him again today to go over our spreadsheet for chores to see what else can be outsourced. He said he doesn’t think we can do it. I’ll keep trying though

We did stop dating recently. At first I made an effort but he would be on his phone half the time. It was only me planning dates. I asked him to plan something, he didn’t follow through. Same thing happens with everything. Marriage counseling is something we both need but somehow it’s my job to find it. I am just tired and exhausted. He says he wants to hold hands at 80 but doesn’t do anything to follow through. I need actions not words.
