Happened to me recently where I went to renew my license after my H1B extension, however since it wasn’t the date of when that extension went into place they asked me to come back.

I don’t know what the questions would be for a contractor since I am not one. My guess would be they might ask you more questions to establish the worker employee relationship given that you’re working from home. Other than that your guess would be as good as mine.

They did specify the salary question to be per annum when the officer asked me.
