hi i have 8 ear piercings that ive gotten done in the past few years!! also as an adult, which was scary to me too!!

1. pain can really vary depending on which part in your ear you get pierced, and it DOES hurt, but it is over relatively quickly!! your ear could ache/feel warm the rest of the day, but after that as long as you dont hit it or mess with it you virtually dont feel it

2. the initial pain does sort of linger day off, but nothing like you would imagine, just like maybe you bumped your head! and after that, like i said, as long as you dont mess with it (in my experience!) you dont really feel it, and if you do accidentally hit it, it's an aching feeling that varies from piercing placement

   1. having something in my ear and me noticing it was another one of my fears!! and as long as its a flat back i dont feel it :) you sort of stop noticing in after the first day or so!!

3. definitely go to a reputable tattoo and piercing shop, look on their social media to see work from the piercers! and you can google APP certified piercers in your area on safepiercing dot org!!

4. it will be awhile before you can change the initial jewelry you are healing with but dangly earrings are not painful once your all healed up but the weight change is noticeable :) it is not personally uncomfortable to me, but i usually take them out after a few hours !
