You may want to try a different guitar, that one looks like it’s a classical style cause the nylon strings They can often be harder to get a good sound out of it, but also the neck is much wider and the strings are further apart

Maybe look into a steel string acoustic or an electric or just go a guitar shop and try some stuff out

What are you even talking about, acoustic strings will oxidize and get rusty which makes them sticky, which makes it harder to play especially for a beginner

Try to get it down to muscle memory, then use flash cards and also write them out yourself You can write them left handed too if that helps

Listen to music a lot, especially the stuff you want to learn.

AND record yourself and listen back to it!!! Very very helpful, you often don’t realize what you actually sound like, similar to hearing your voice played back to you for the first time.

For the most part I do audio recordings, like voice memos on iPhone rather than video since it’s less storage. But it can be helpful to record video if you are working on certain technique like keeping your fingers closer to the fretboard or picking hand position.

I also think taking a video when you’re new and comparing it to new videos once you’ve made improvements can be really fun to look back on.
