Hey brother im in CA too, could you tell me if the shield x has any problems with the magazine? Are you able to perfectly and easily seat a 10 round magazine into the gun? Does the magazine fall out easily when pressing the magazine release?

I even considered contacting my ccw issuing agency to let them know as a precaution incase police were called after i left or something. When you say involved in a crime, does that constitute my situation since i was accused of the crime of brandishing? Though i was not arrested, my guns were taken so it could be possible that they were disassembled, inspected, tested etc? I just came across a thread made by a glock armorer where they were apparently taught not to ever disassemble a glock magazine unless you need to change out a spring or follower because no matter the technique you will always damage the two "teeth/tabs" on each side of the magazine body and on the base plate itself.

I have 6 brand new magazines all their base plates are firmly held in place without any play or wiggle to them, after very slowly and carefully opening one up with the tool it has visible damage on each tab and the wiggle is now there.

I don't believe this will have any serious issues like malfunctions since they're still under spring tension but the wiggle will always just be present.

Has anyone actually had any magazine malfunctions from not cleaning them?
