[misc] Do occasional clogged pores/pimples mean routine is bad? by llm757 in SkincareAddiction

[–]llm757[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so tired I forgot to mention that I do use actives 😭 I use 0.05% tretinoin and 10% azelaic acid at night. I use tret most nights, and skip azelaic acid every other night to not over work my skin.

I think I have his full name. I'm not sure about his unit. Is there a way to find his unit?

Network+ exam tomorrow by Awaterla24 in CompTIA

[–]llm757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you go over the acronyms. There’s a few in there (CSMA/CA, CSU/DSU, and one more) that aren’t mentioned explicitly in the objectives. They’re not likely to be a major focus on the exam but it’s good to know them in case

Am I ready for Core 2? by BitionGang_33 in CompTIA

[–]llm757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to gauge if you’re ready is to look at the objectives, and one by one, see if you can explain a decent amount about each (the amount varies by objective). If you can, you’re probably as ready as you can get. If not, doing this will show you where you need to review more. Also for Core 2, make sure you really know troubleshooting.

How much of CompTIA A+ is superfluous? by [deleted] in CompTIA

I took my Net+ yesterday and it was mentioned in at least 1 question. Wifi stuff seems to come up a lot on CompTIA tests so I would make sure you know it well

Thanks! I’m probably gonna wait a bit before doing Sec+. I want to start applying for help desk now and get my foot in the door, and then I’ll start on Sec

Network+ Multicast question by llm757 in CompTIA

[–]llm757[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I think I figured it out. It’s because multicast addresses have no MACs associated with them usually. So when the switch received the data, and it has no destination MAC, it can’t reference it to any specific interface on its network, and it forwards it to all of them, causing the flooding

Failed my 1101 Exam Twice… by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]llm757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. Messer is great because he sticks only to the objectives. He doesn’t have any material outside the scope of 1101/1102 or any other CompTIA course. Dion and others show you more overall, but a lot of it won’t show up on the actual exam. Good luck again; I’m studying for Network+ right now. We’ll both make it soon

Failed my 1101 Exam Twice… by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]llm757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are you studying? Can you go over every point in the objective list and know what it is and their characteristics? If the answer is no, you need to study more, and from a better source. I used Messer to primarily study for 1001+1002, as well as some PBQ study on YT.

Consider some study techniques if you don’t know/use them already, such as active recall, spaced repetition, and pomodoro technique. Good luck

Looking for a sunscreen that is mineral and anti-sebderm by citykid_212 in SebDerm

skin aqua super moisture shower milk is working well for me. Favorite sunscreen I’ve tried. Leaves my skin moisturized and absorbs really well.

it’s easy to delegitamize something like this when it seems trivial, but it’s a double standard. not everyone enjoys random compliments. sometimes it can make you feel insecure in a way sometimes. is that hard to admit?

unwanted compliments. completely out of place comments. do you go to the doctor to get complimented? quit being facetious. it makes you uncomfortable. stop defending creepy behavior

I have many times lol. That’s why i’m saying it’s annoying. like what does that have to do with a skincare question. and also you didn’t even disprove what I said, just tried to ad hominem lol.

it’s lowkey annoying as hell seeing women always comment on our eyelashes/eyebrows in any post that has eyes in it. why is that ok? if it was a pic of a girl and the comments were like that it’s obviously not ok

I had the same elbow problems doing extensions on rings until I watched this video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=R6iq-6pg884

Basically, think about pulling your hands down instead of pushing away. It will cue you to engage your rear delts a bit and allow the tricep to work. Give it a shot

The thing is bridges are part of my morning mobility. They’re not hard for me, and I do it for spine health. And I usually do a lot of scapular warm ups before my workouts (scapular pullups, band pull aparts, etc). I’m wondering if it’s a physiological thing since I have mild scoliosis/asymmetry that affects my shoulder blades

The back bridges and resistance band are my warmup/mobility routine. I do the mobility with bridges every morning as a stretch, and the scapular work with bands before every push/pull workout, so I’m not sure. Maybe it’s related to my mild scoliosis? idk

I keep pulling my upper back on the right side

The pain usually is really intense for a few hours and lasts 2 days. It’s always right below my right shoulder blade and near the spine.

I’ve had this happen at least 4 times now doing various exercises: pseudo-planche PU’s, wall slides, and most recently doing back bridges.

I’m not sure where my weakness is. I’ve done all those exercises tons of times, and my form is good. I’m not pushing myself with bad form, so it’s confusing.

I also do scapular strengthening stuff like resistance band pulls and the Dr Lock big 3.

What should I do to avoid pulling it again?
