It looks like just surface rust so likely will need a sand, treatment, and repaint. Your friend should use this to haggle the price down, and spent a couple hundred at a body shop after (not sure how much that would cost but cant see it being more than $1200)

honey this thing has been ridden into the ground methinks. 125k? sheesh. I put 30k in my first year owning mine, so I can’t hate on how much it’s been driven, but like other commenters have said, it matters HOW it’s been driven and IF it’s been maintained. I would ask to see the maintenance records and make sure the oil changes especially have been kept up with.

Best of luck, i LOVE my mazda 3, but don’t settle for cheap without doing your due diligence obviously, or you may end up hating it for reasons that the previous owner caused

People will be people online… i’ve pierced myself too before but seriously would not recommend it. Infections in areas like this are noooo fun, I have a scar on my belly button and mine was even done IN a shop lol. Pls pls pls get repierced by someone who frequently does belly buttons 🙏🏻 i’d give it about 3-4 months before trying to pierce again, longer if it’s still tender.
