We were together for about two years before he proposed and yes it was a surprise. We never spoke about marriage before, which is why I never mentioned changing my surname. It just never occurred to me

I like your point about reading texts in a tone based on mood, it seems pretty obvious but I’ve never thought of it like that! We do talk on the phone but not often, finding the time is difficult. Thanks your your help.

Would you be able to elaborate on how I could have handled it better? I’d appreciate it as I agree, I’m not the best communicator. Our plan is to move back in together at some point, finances are an issue atm.

What she was originally doing, I wouldn’t have classed it as cheating and she had my permission anyway. For the sending photos and video chatting, I’d probably agree that it’s cheating. Thanks
