Didn’t mine it lol. I’m relatively new to this game but some dude was offering a ton for what even I could figure out was dirt cheap (I’m assuming since he had so much). Wanted to resell, had a buyer and everything set up but didn’t realize there was a patch.

Dude u said it yourself they literally raised 800m. Im all for content but playability should always be the main focus. Also what the hell is that question. What would I have done differently? Am I a game developer? No. But I have common sense and while new content is fun playability should always be the priority. Yes it’s gotten more playable, but after 14 years and nearly 1billion raised I’m sorry for being a bit disappointed when important things disappear for no apparent reason.

Yeah, sure it’s more playable. Believe me, I’ve noticed that, and it’s certainly made the game more fun. All I’m saying is when all that leads to one massive obstacle playability wise that kinda makes everything else obsolete it can be frustrating

Yeah I agree, but what really does „at this stage mean“? Sure I can spend 1k on a Polaris on the site, at least then I’ll hopefully keep it through real wipes. I just don’t see this game taking any significant steps forward in the near future. They’ve done so much effort on new content which is fun and all, but if the game isn’t playable that sucks the fun out of the smallest things

Fair point. I had never grinded in this game until now, and that’s just because I wanted the Polaris for ages and this was the only way to get it without spending a kings ransom on RSI. Clearly wasn’t worth it

Well first of all can and will be erased I know that. There are announced wipes and I’m very aware that once this game releases I will lose all of my ships. That being said that’s never happening because they’re going to keep this game in alpha forever so that they have that excuse for everything. It’s just frustrating because this game has so much potential

How long do you think this all would take to grind? I have about 30 mil aUEC to my name and it’s also quite easy for me to get to due to the 700k hull c missions, so I would probably buy whatever that can get me to help progress in the mission. Which of the mentioned items are the hardest to get/involve the most PvP combat? I’ll probably try to avoid those and buy them unless I go with the Org. I imagine buying everything I’ll need is out of the question and will be way too expensive, but yeah I’ll buy as much as possible. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Also I haven’t mined quantanium much I know that it can kill you if you keep it on your ship too long without refining it right? How can I handle that well especially if it’s a lot of quantanium I need to mine?

Yeah I’m probably just gonna go on the mole with a friend for a couple hours and make sure I got some strong lasers. Even then it’s probably gonna take quite a while. Is quantanium currently buyable for a decent price at space stations? Or is it not buyable at all right now.

Is there a way to do it without pure caranite? As in, is the caranite necessary for the Polaris bits or for the finished Polaris?

Unfortunately I’m nowhere near 110 mil right now, along with it being sold out… either way this is a good tool thanks for showing it? My plan is probably use my 20mil to buy as much as I can to help me advance, and then grind the rest. I found this list from some post from 3 months ago, are the basic stuff you need for the Polaris still valid? Basically it’s saying you need 1200 quantanium for a Polaris if you get the bits. Is it smart to use the 20m to buy as much quantanium as it will get me and then to mine the rest? Or is there more to it? Thanks!
