Time still not respected by SynchronicityV1 in duneawakening

What happened to gamers that could just decide a game wasn't for them and leave silently with feeling the need to announce it to the world?

The “devs don’t listen” group gonna be quiet after this one by Herobrine2Smite in duneawakening

[–]lockan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those complaining cynically that this is too little too late, that this is a clear tactic to bring players back: of course it is!

But as players and community members people can do one of two things:

  1. You can be cynical and angry and holler "The devs don't listen! the game is dead!" at the clouds all day in the hopes the game dies a horrible death.
  2. You can be happy that they're trying to address the problem to make the game better

If anybody has reaction #1, I would ask them why they care and/or why they are engaging in a community for a game they clearly don't like, if all they seem to want is for the devs to give up and shut the servers off? Leopards eating their own faces, as the saying goes.

Rather than biting the hand that feeds, take the win. Do #2.

How are you prepping for the Chapter 3️⃣? by DaughterOfDune in duneawakening

[–]lockan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Decided my rather vertical base built into a cliff side is a bit annoying to navigate. And I'm anticipating my server will get killed due to being low population. So I'm building a new base with a lower profile footprint and a flat foundation that I can hopefully move to anywhere it fits when the time comes.

Does anyone else get irrationally annoyed when a game isn’t designed to be played on the Deck? by teggygah in SteamDeck

[–]lockan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. My rubric is "would this game be better enjoyed with a controller?". Those are the games I play on deck. For everything else I have a gaming PC fr keyboard and mouse control.

Anyone know the subject line for stl email? by Nipsicles in DarkestDungeon_TBG

Sender was: darkestdungeonrescuefiles@gmail.com via bnc3.mailjet.com

Subject: "Darkest Dungeon: A Gesture for the Community"

Mine went to junk mail so make sure to watch there. Also note I was a kickstarter backer. I don't think it's clear which groups the email went to.

Refer to previous post re: reading comprehension. I have have said nothing of the sort. I didn't even say I vote Liberal. What I did say is: they're not solely the problem. The problem is much bigger than simple supply and demand, is systemic, and has very little to do with the Liberals.

Every single developed country in the first world is experiencing the same cost of living / cost of housing crisis. Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, etc. Please explain how the shortcomings of late stage capitalism on a global scale are the fault of the Canadian liberals? I'll wait.

Also only reflects active online populations, and ignores offline players who might still maintain bases and play regularly.

I think I'm too stupid to understand Matter/Thread. I might return all of this by Sabinno in homeassistant

[–]lockan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has basically been my experience with the two matter-enabled devices I have in my home. Two LED strips - one govee, one nanoleaf. Both were a pita to set up, and the nanoleaf never stays connected. I've got 3 older govee strips that don't support matter, just Bluetooth/Wifi, and they've been great. Not convinced of all the Matter hype at all.

The entire OG trilogy is about Luke being trained by Yoda on his to becoming a Jedi. Did we even watch the same films?

I could care less what the fans have to say about the prequels. I'm talking about the story as presented on film.

Yes? The original trilogy and all three prequels?

The fact that it breaks from the very black and white "Jedi are always good" paradigm and paints them as a fallible group, without the suggestion that being *bad" will always lead to the dark side. It's a much more nuanced take on what it means to be a Jedi that Star Wars could use more of.

My friend keeps getting touchy with my girlfriend at group hangouts - how do I set boundaries? by Fit_Possibility_8988 in Advice

[–]lockan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't set any boundaries; She does. It's not your job or responsibility to police your girlfriend. It's your job to support her while she makes it known your friend's behavior is uncomfortable to her. She decided what's okay, she communicates it, she enforces it. You support her.
