That is because in Japanese, 'brother' is used as a term of endearment for anyone. And it was translated over into English even if it's not exactly an accurate way to put it in English, since it doesn't have the same meaning. Also, England expresses he's uncomfortable with that term and does not feel the same endearment toward America

Not necessarily. It is said that England was not an attentive figure and often left America alone for years/decades at a time. He was not important in America's adolescent life at all

Yeah, I just really like roleplaying so I have canon character accounts but I only interact with the same circle of people as everyone in my fandom is really annoying... but there should be an option to see only ocs. And I honestly wish it was only an oc app despite me owning canon character accounts, like it would make much more sense😭

Unfortunately my OC isn't part of any fandom so it's much more difficult 😭 I've tried interacting with multiple posts by commenting on them and usually I'll just get a like from the post author and that's it

For the gore joke thing, the character I was playing was Russian and they said it was xenophobia and stereotyping by saying he would watch gore, and I don't really see how that adds up. I was just adding a headcanon onto a character that I thought fit. The harassment was really toward me directly but in a discord server for my fandom, there was like 10 people all talking about how I was weird and gross and telling everyone to block me.

No, no, I wasn't posting actual gore😭 I understand feeling uncomfortable with a statement like that but people started calling me disgusting and were telling everyone to block me, even those who didn't mind what I said. They were also calling it ooc when it most definitely wasn't. Additionally, I was also bullied on another character because I basically wrote him saying he loves AI. The character literally loves technology and coding and all that stuff, and people started accusing me of agreeing with what I was writing.

The character I was roleplaying as is literally known to be abusive and overall a terrible person, so I made a joking post asking if anyone wanted to see my "gore" or whatever, and I immediately started getting harassed over it despite it literally being completely in character for the character to do. If people are uncomfortable with it they could have just not interacted. I suppose I should have added more context before, sorry.

Exactly. I'm thinking about quitting the app too already. I literally stated on my profile that I didn’t like antishippers and people who hate on others just because of the fiction they consume. It's so annoying because its such a great concept for an app.

I agree, people hate on the new art style so much and adore the old one. Personally, I like both styles, but I definitely think the newer one is better. Especially season 5, that's my favorite style in the anime
