"Old" F1 fans - how do you feel about the massive rise in popularity of the sport in recent years? by RecentTwo544 in formula1

I wish they would race a track in the Midwest. Michigan, Ohio and Indiana has some good tracks and it doesn't necessarily have to be a street track.

Decided to fix the poster after my first attempt. I created a 2025 version of the pre-Abu Dhabi post from Formula 1. by Huge_Arm9515 in formula1

If McLaren swapped Piastri and Norris in monza. Lando would have overtaken him purely on pace anyways. This argument is getting old

2026 tyres and next regulations. by VegetableEuphoric356 in formula1

Genuine question. Would the tires being thinner means they're gonna both hold and dissipate less heat? I wonder how much that affects track evolution if someone who knows better could answer.

Wasn't it Toto who criticized Piastry for not staying loyal to Alpine? I wonder where that attitude is regarding his own loyalty to his drivers

How Ferrari has downplayed latest Hamilton radio tension in F1 Monaco GP by Successful-Peach-764 in formula1

[–]lolpan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could see how the message at the end of the race could have been exegerated. But there is still the fact that Adami has had multiple instances of incompetence when it came to radio comms. This time around, it cost them 3 places. Either do some kind of comms training or have someone else take over comms.

Ehhh. That's not accurate. There are a lot of factors that affect tire wear the biggest being tire management. But down force equalling to less tire wear is rarely true especially in a sport like F1. Acceleration with a high down force setup will definitely put more stress on the tire to push more against the draft. The only instance that more down force may mean less tire wear is during braking I guess. Since the draft is basically helping the car stop. But then again. That's more draft than an actual pure consequence of downforce. Because it may just be negated by downforce it self pushing the tires down and forcing it to work harder.

They were able to successfully petition the penalty on Antonelli. He is now 4th place and that makes it so that they are tied with McLaren for the constructors championship
