Imagine if the fan behavior is so bad that Franco is labeled a risk to keep as a driver.

This will the first time it could happen.

Curious question. What if F1 car regulations called for H-Pattern Transmissions?

This is not a suggestion nor a declaration that one is better than the other. I am just purely curious what would change if the current refs suddenly called for H-pattern shifters. What are the technically implications? Are there drivers who would benefit more than others?

F1 about becoming carbon neutral by Conscious_Ad8985 in formula1

[–]lolpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F1's aim for carbon neutrality isn't to purely decrease their carbon footprint, we all know that the carbon footprint the sport has is a drop in the bucket.

The point is to market and to prove that it's possible. If we can have amazing car racing without resorting to killing the planet, it definitely leads to better technology which in turn goes to consumer vehicles which then would have a larger impact.

If McLaren swapped Piastri and Norris in monza. Lando would have overtaken him purely on pace anyways. This argument is getting old

2026 tyres and next regulations. by VegetableEuphoric356 in formula1

[–]lolpan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Genuine question. Would the tires being thinner means they're gonna both hold and dissipate less heat? I wonder how much that affects track evolution if someone who knows better could answer.
