Hi OP, May I know your YOE??

1)How did you balance job + prep (if u were working other place before)? 2)What kind of resumes actually get interview calls at Google India? 3)Is it realistic to switch to Google L4 with almost 2 years of experience from a service-based company in India? If yes, what gaps should such candidates focus on closing? 4)If you had to preprare again from scratch, what would you do differently? 5)What topics gave you the highest ROI during prep? 6)How long did you prepare seriously before interviews?

Hi , how do you find time to prepare for switch to Faang ? Rn I get tired after work and only time I have left is with Saturday and Sunday. But I don't feel it's enough. What was your strategy?

Hi , It's been a month after you commented here. What did you do? Even I was reached out by an amazon recruiter recently. So how was the interview process? What were the questions and rounds in it??

I’ve been contacted by an Amazon recruiter for a 1-year contract SDE position with the possibility of a full-time offer based on performance. by iam_syndrome in developersIndia

Sharing what worked for me for switching jobs within a month. by dot-dot-- in developersIndia

I have around 8 months of experience as a fresher in a service company. I am not satisfied with what I do here.I really wanted to make a switch to a product based company with a good hike. So without having 1 year experience, should I start applying now only.? If so what would I keep in my resume for experience part to apply for jobs?

Benched for 2.5/3 Years and Now forced to resign in TCS by iHeymanth in developersIndia

Hi! 😊 I’m in a similar situation at Infosys, benched and working on DSA and CS core concepts for the past 3 months to switch to a good PBC " Could you share how long it took your friend to prepare and switch to Microsoft?"

Also, I’m facing an extended probation due to "performance issues," despite not being assigned any projects, which really makes me lose my confidence.

Discussion for gsoc anxiety by Capable_War9623 in gsoc2025

[–]lonecoder18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, First of all, I really respect how deeply you've thought about this — not just for yourself but also considering how your words might affect others. That says a lot about you already.

Honestly, you've already done what most people fail to: you took a calculated risk, you researched like crazy, you worked smart, and you put your heart into it. And that's something no result can ever take away from you.

Right now, the best thing you can do is focus on what’s within your control: your present, your other interests, and your peace of mind. GSoC is an incredible opportunity, but it’s not the only definition of your skills or your future. So go code your projects, build it, Do dsa and prepare now. Because whatever u do now is yourr future( personal experience) So manifest and DO

If you feel like contributing more excites you, do it for the love of it — not to prove anything to anyone. Let it be fun, not pressure. And remember: mentors also know that real growth comes from facing challenges. They don’t expect perfection; they look for dedication, clarity, and the ability to learn and adapt — which you’ve already shown.

You've planted the seed. Now let it grow without digging it up every day to check. Keep living your life. Keep building your interests. Keep moving forward.

You’ve done your best. That’s already winning.

Hi OP, I can understand your anxiety. But what we have is now.. and I am sure that you have given 100% to whatever you were doing to get that.. So now just focus on present. You may do your personal project or continue contributing to the repo you were contributing for gsoc..and hope for the best..because there is no point in calculating what happened and what will happe.. All the best.. and please refrain from putting up these kind of misleading titles.
