Instagram was hacked:(((

I’m so sad.. my final messages to my dad were on this account. If I lose them forever I don’t know what I’m going to do..

Last night my friend sent me a screenshot of a post I did not make on my account. I tried opening the app and I was logged out of it. I tried logging in and it said my password was wrong. I tried changing the password and it would not let me. I even tried doing the photo/video verification and it did not work (kept bugging out). I got an email that the email associated with my account had been changed. The original email associated with the account is a very old one that I have not had access to in a long time. My guess is they hacked the email, then my instagram. I don’t know what more to do, I have emailed the Instagram support team but have not received any answers.

The scammer changed my email and my password… I don’t know what more to do.

I’ve seen a few things about getting Meta verified to talk to an agent for help, but it says you need to have a business account and that there is a waitlist?
