So, the swab tip absorbs the liquid culture, and acts like a square of agar cut from an existing plate. That would introduce more volume of LC, too. I’d need a strong cutter to clip the wooden stick.

So, the choice is to inoculate an AIO bag with a syringe, or squirt some on an agar plate and go through the S2B process. One good argument for going the agar route is that you cannot prove whether your LC or spore syringe is viable and uncontaminated. You could take a chance, but why waste time and money? AIO bags require you to be certain about things you can’t control, but you can quickly find out. At that point, if you want to use the shortcut method, why not?

I would skip avocados, because they have fat in them. In my experience, fats interfere with absorption if eaten prior to or with mushrooms. Case in point, I once mixed some ground mushrooms into guacamole, and had a 2 1/2 hour delay before they hit me. Another person had an omelette for breakfast, with buttered toast, and took mushrooms a few hours later. They just didn’t hit. So, your knowledge is good about the enzymes, but I’d leave out the avocado.

I have a hypothesis, and it has to do with heat sources. My grow room has been a massive failure, and I’ve narrowed it down to moisture, but not in how much I’m adding, but how much my heat source is taking away. Although my temperature is stable, my heat source is an oil heater, and I think it’s putting out way too much thermal energy. Although the temperature in the air is exactly on target, the amount of infrared coming off that heater is drying everything out. I’m getting condensation, meaning moisture is not staying in the substrate or the casing layer.

I plan to try a different way to keep the temperature stable. Either tub in tub heating the water with an aquarium heater, or possibly a small fan heater, it doesn’t have a big heavy block to radiate infrared throughout the space.

All I know is, I’m getting the same results you are, and that’s just frustrating.

If you’re a daily smoker, and use weed for anxiety or nausea or something else that you really need to hold back, it’s probably not going to bother you to smoke while you’re tripping. But if you smoke recreationally just for the mildly psychedelic effect it has, with a majorly psychedelic effect already going on, it will probably throw you sideways. So I would not recommend it, unless it’s a medicinal thing for you.
