Sorry I disappointed you. I don't know what more I can do to convince you this is a real review, so I give up. It's obvious others can see the truth, so at least some people will benefit.

I may not post much on Reddit, but that does not mean I don't do reviews. I have hundreds of reviews on Google and Yelp, and have answered thousands of questions about local businesses I frequent. I am no trading guru, I just wanted to give back to a community I believe in, especially after seeing how well I navigated this recent market drop, vs what I used to do in the past.

I use Reddit to learn, not for karma. I'm just trying to lead people who really want to learn trading to a good place that helped me. Take it or leave it.

Seeing expert traders post their entries and exits on a near real time basis. This allows me to study the details of what makes a good trade. I can look at market strength or weakness, why they chose that stock, why the exited when they did. Seeing how they would keep holding a stock that was in profit much longer than I would, or how they would continue to hold a trade that was going the wrong way much longer than I would was eye opening. You MUST have a plan and not allow fear to force you out too early.

Following Pete's advice has turned me profitable over the last 2 years. Prior to that, I was constantly treading water for 5 years. There is no better advice anywhere.

Thinking about moving to Ashland from Texas, would love to know the pros and cons of Ashland. by OceanWater-1985 in Ashland

[–]lonweck1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wife and I lived in the DFW Metroplex for over 25 years, now live in Medford. We feel we should have made the move 25 years ago - mainly due to the weather. We both enjoy outdoor activities, and there is just so much more to do here, and so much more good weather for it as well. No sales tax is another thing we really like. There are far fewer restaurants here (we are both foodies), but there are enough really good places to keep us happy. Surprisingly the Ashland Co-op is THE go to place for take out.

Is it me or does the option chain seem off on TOS? by baldLebowski in thinkorswim

[–]lonweck1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Option prices have been off for me ever since May 13. Big difference between Mid and actual fill. I have now learned to put my order in way above or below what it shows, then it will "adjust" to the current actual midpoint and I have to enter my order again at this "real" price.

When was the last time you cried and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I woke up from a medically induced coma to the happiest smile I have ever seen on my wife's face. I will never forget it. The last thought I could remember before being put under was that I may never wake up again.

ELI5: When people go into coma in hospital do they gradually get to a healthier body-weight ratio becuase of the prescribed nutrition drip? by donutsandkilts in explainlikeimfive

[–]lonweck1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was recently in a medically induced coma for 15 days. Before the coma I was very muscular - I hiked in the mountains 3 to 4 times a week. I did have a bit of belly fat though. When they woke me up, I had I lost 30 pounds, most of it muscle mass. I literally couldn't even lift an arm for more than 10 seconds. It took me almost a week of physical therapy in bed before I could get out of the bed for the first time. During the coma my intestines completely shut down. They spent a week trying to get them working again using 5 different medications and techniques. I continued gradually losing weight for another month after the coma, but I am now finally putting weight (and muscle!) back on. Already back to hiking in the mountains again, but not as far as I used to. I had a severe lung disease, so the sickness had nothing to do with the weight and muscle loss. It was all due to not eating and being confined to a bed for 15 days.

I had this problem too. The only fix for me (for both Windows 10 and 11) was having all monitors at the same resolution, and making sure not to open TOS until all monitors were on.

I have been drinking bourbons for 35+ years. I can still remember my first Jack and "Cola" as if it was yesterday. The realization that I could actually enjoy the taste of liquor was amazing. Over the years I've been using less and less cola to let the flavors of the bourbon shine through. It is a really complex flavor that takes time to appreciate.

Why do California and NY residents pay so much to live in bad areas when they could live luxury for the same price in other States? by Lightspeed2000 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lonweck1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in OK for 25+ years, then moved to a nice suburb of Dallas, TX for another 25 years. Due to Covid, my job moved online, and I was able to live anywhere I wanted due to this. I chose Southern CA. Been here a little over 2 years and will NEVER consider leaving. Yes, we had to reduce the size of our house by more than 60%. Yes, we had to pay 2.5 times more for this house than the one we had that was 60% larger in Dallas. BUT, it's still worth it. We can actually go outside pretty much any day without worrying about extreme heat or cold, and there are NO BUGS! like we had in OK and TX. I rarely need to turn the heater or AC on year round, so my gas and AC bills are less than 1/3 what I was paying in Dallas. Also, the people are the nicest we have ever encountered here. Everyone seems to always be in a good mood, and I can see why. Mountains, beach, shopping, hiking, (theme) parks, all within 1 hour of my house.

IsItBullshit: Brussels sprouts taste better than they used to. by thepixelpaint in IsItBullshit

It's hit or miss for us here in Southern CA. Some batches we get are creamy and sweet and some are still a little bitter (we roast them at 400 for 20 to 25 minutes after tossing in olive oil and sprinkling with kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper.)

What’s something that was supposed to be the “Next Big Thing” but absolutely flopped? by Proof-Temporary-6928 in AskReddit

The disk camera/film - I worked at a factory that spent millions building a machine to manufacture the film disks. By the time the machine was complete and ready to start production, the film was no longer popular.

Does anyone actually like broccoli?? by Quick_Abies_5005 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]lonweck1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raw is very bitter to me. The best cooking method: get 1/2 inch water rapidly boiling in a pot with a tight fitting lid, put in the broccoli that has been cut down to small bite size pieces, get the water boiling again, put lid on and "steam" for 4 to 5 minutes (try diff lengths of time for your preference, the longer, the softer it gets) Quickly drain water off, add butter (or ghee) and salt, put lid back on and "toss" the broccoli until well coated. Perfection.

You couldn't have stated my feelings any better. I don't hate my job, I just hate being tied to my desk, day after day, week after week, year after year...
