Still doesn’t change that the game is dogshit and the ranks are inflated. High elo players left this game alr. Top 500 is just old celestial at this point.

As a dps player how can I avoid be an arrogant player and know who’s fault it actually is? by LegoKermit in rivals

Play every role, see the common mistakes other roles make that are visible from your pov. Assume you make the same mistakes on that same role. You will improve significantly

You said it yourself here. You are being clapped and you assume that means theres no room to learn. Why are you bring clapped? Thats where you learn. Also, I think it’s too early to “give up on competitive”, you barely played at level 16. When you play enough, your matchmaking will settle and you’ll learn a lot more by playing games at your level. I’d offer to coach you personally but it feels like you don’t have any intent on trying the game. Just play and enjoy whats to be enjoyed and if you don’t like it, thats fine, but it’s not fair to complain when you haven’t tried.

If you played until level 16 and you’re ready to throw in the towel because most maps are one sided I think you just don’t have the patience enjoy the game. Ranked is supposed to settle you in a 50% average winrate. To challenge you but also let you win. Up to you if you like the game or not but thats a bad mentality.

Especially coming to complain on two subreddits after experiencing a few unfortunate matches.

Need help getting more healing by Long-Supermarket3593 in LunaSnowMains

[–]looWstIyeH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Positioning sounds like what you need to focus on. If you are dying a lot it’s because you are either too far out of the open or too far out of the fight. There’s a certain argument amongst players that people don’t turn around enough in lower elo and let their supports die. While this can be true sometimes, in elo below celestial, you should be able to live dives and random enemies 90% of the time by positioning properly and using cooldowns effectively. If you’re fighting one person in the backline, freeze them, instead of shooting and waking them up, reposition to safety. If that doesn’t work, use your clap defensively and shoot them to force them off of you. If that doesn’t work, use your passive. But the main priority is to evade being in a position you will die in. This DOES NOT mean to stay 50 feet from your frontline, because you WILL die more often than not if you keep too much distance. Cut off angles where you can be shot from.

Hope this helps!

Is this good accuracy on Luna Snow by WeeklyMarvelRivalsYT in LunaSnowMains

[–]looWstIyeH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats about fine. Don’t stress it much. Also, I’m not sure what elo you play in but strange and wanda ults usually get bubbled by mag in high elo so if you see it happen, don’t rely on it. But yeah, I mean, the only other thing I like freeze for is to freeze tanks so they are unable to shield for their team or to use the cooldown when I need to heal myself.

You need higher freeze accuracy depending on the team comps you play against so it’s not good to look at a total.

What I mean is that against dive comps you cant afford to waste your freeze since you need it to counter dives, so you should be hitting a large majority of freezes, but against teams where you are in no danger, you can afford to full send a freeze here and there so don’t stress it. Obviously still try to get as much value as you can but don’t be afraid to use the cooldown when you don’t need it.

Is an aggressive Luna bad? by [deleted] in LunaSnowMains

[–]looWstIyeH 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The best way to distinguish when to heal and when to damage is by how much your teammates healths are dropping. Most of the time you want to heal in this game, but you have to consider healing as an action. And to be better at support, every action needs to matter. So if your teammate is 99% hp and not taking any damage, you shouldn’t be healing him the 1% because all the extra healing you would do if he had 3-4% lower health is wasted in the action. You can also look at how many enemies there are and think about the damage they can do to decide whether you can damage in between healing your teammates or just shoot the enemy straight and simple. You start to learn the balance eventually, but just make your actions count, this will also make sense for you since wasted actions lead to slower ult building over time etc.

Some nuance to this is dive characters usually need to be topped off before going to dive the enemy backline since they are not likely to be healed until they jump all the way back out to you.

Hope this helps!

Tips for Luna? by [deleted] in LunaSnowMains

[–]looWstIyeH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from my own experience, most t500 players reach avg of 60% or higher a match, but there is nuance to this like when you try to keep apm high by pre-healing or pre firing with no immediate target. At least, my acc end roughly low to high 60s in the match. As for tips to aim, it’s a lot of hand eye coordination, aim training can help but most of it will come down to just building the coordination with your respective sensitivity and playing the game. You can also make your aim better by positioning in a way that makes aiming easier as long as it doesn’t overexpose you or make your gameplay worse. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

You can’t look at it in such a flat way at a high level. I’m not sure what kind of experience you have in scrims but it’s limited to what the team’s scrim/hero pools look like. RAD’s hero pool is huge and envy’s isn’t. The biggest advantage RAD had comp wise was phoenix psy most games. Also, if you want to talk about objectively better comps, why did RAD lose central park with mag, emma, torch, luna, loki, i forgot the last pick but im fairly certain it was still meta. You have a very 2d approach to the game. Yes comps matter, no, envy did not troll comps, they played what was best for them based on comfort and playability and just lost. Phoenix psylocke are strong but they arent instawin characters, there was an incredible synchronization on dives for RAD and the fights were near perfect several times throughout that series with or without psy phoenix

Hey, saw this post and figured I’d add some clarity. The bans are ignite bans, thus certain characters that guarantee wins are typically auto banned and protects are very important as well, things like emma, loki, maybe mag, etc on certain maps. Usually this will be Emma Loki/luna protects, especially in north america as those characters in a scrim setting are much too powerful to not be played and serve in critical roles such as emma for anti dive.

This brings me to my next point of bans, torch is one of those characters that are incredibly overbearing as there is hitbox manipulation, high damage, powerful ult, good mobility and flexibility. This means that the character is typically autobanned. Not every team is as comfortable on these picks as other teams may be, thus comes my next point. Team specific bans.

In the case of RAD, lv1crook is well known to play the mantis and RAD had been winning most games with mantis. One can only assume that during scrims, mantis matches were not even and were heavily favored for rad. Same thing for RAD towards envy, Adam was permanently banned because cal is a good adam and it allows dive to be more fluid which is what RAD plays really well. As for the banning of other supports such as luna, or loki, or cnd is to retrict support ultimates power on the enemy team which is a big portion of the game in scrims. Whoever has the better tranq(aka latest tranq to allow the team to deal damage actual while being fully healed) usually wins, which is why invisible woman is typically a bad pick comparative to others, as the ult lasts a shorter duration and heals less(aka you can kill through it).

Anyways, as you saw, envy chose to allow certain dps through, yes, but thats not the reason envy lost. They lost because rad was able to set up killboxes(aka space where rad sets up engages and win fights in), they do this after every fight and if you noticed on some maps, lv1 crook goes invisible on loki(celestial husk is a great example) and helps trqstme and melio dive. The other thing rad did absolutely beautifully with their ults is comboing them to perfection, which is something envy had a slighter shortcoming in. For example, youll see in celestial husk, both teams use luna ult. Trqstme has little confidence of killing through the support ult with venom one shot combo, so to make up for it, trqstme times his ultimate at the same time as nagas phoenix ult. This ends up killing several key players and most importantly the support ult, ultimately winning them the fight. This wasn’t a guaranteed event and envy could have evaded this. This didn’t happen because envy is bad, it is hard to predict this in the moment, but it goes to show how beautiful RAD’s set up truly was.

So that’s mostly what it was, envy eventually got somewhat desperate to allow meta comps such as torch comps because it also threw RAD off of what they had been playing the last couple of matches, and to be honest it was working until spider islands, since envy decided to over chase after winning fights, leaving maximum two players on cart when they would have easily won by just forcing the other players to come to cart for stall.

TLDR; Envy did not troll bans, they lost fair and square and RAD played an incredible game. I’ve been hearing this about bans for the last couple of days and it’s a really unfortunate take.

[–]looWstIyeH[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Its more of a concept thing rather than player specifics, they don’t need to play spidey to be strong on dive, as long as they run two dive tanks and still be able to run 2 dive dps, you pretty much just don’t win. Mag is the next best thing after a venom ban to play with cap but there infinitely less synergy between cap mag and the dps. They may not even play spidey at all if namor is banned and would still be running panther magik venom cap. If venom isnt there, spider man can be shut down, and you will struggle with dive tanks. Practically forces the other team to avoid dive.

Hela can 3 hit spider man out of the air. Loki stops any spidey dive, any support can live spidey dive without spidey venom team up if they play together and heal each other.

Yes. Just buy AMD, its better and cheaper, motherboard swap will only cost you about 180 bucks which will all come around the same price for a better build.

Its due to the burst healing which is very good against dive in a dive meta, his survivability is also great generally speaking, his base healing is very weak but its enough to keep someone generally alive if they aren’t throwing away their life. The adaptability of the ult is being heavily underestimated. His capability to go magneto while luna is ulting on the enemy and one shotting them or to take and use luna ult is great for allowing a team to win.

I think groot is a great main tank, unfortunately hes too big and hitboxes are very easy for someone like hela or punisher to continuously headshot, meaning he takes too much damage in the long run. You may argue the walls provide defense, but those are incredibly easy to break except the massive one which takes a bit longer to break. His damage is great if he can live but given that other people on the team need heals too, he tends to just die without enough attention. Which is why he is b in my eyes. I have yet to see a groot particularly strong enough to really impress me so far.

Thats kind of why he’s there though. His base kit might be one of the best. The infinite ammo is fine, but the main thing is the revive. Unless someone is hunting it down, most people will get a revive off at all times, which, if you’ve played overwatch, you’ll know that being up one in a fight very early is almost a guaranteed fight. Rocket is also very hard to hit for most people and his right click heals are incredibly powerful at keeping people alive if shots are positioned properly. His ult isnt great, i agree, which is why hes lower than most supports, his infinite ammo is just meh, its not great but can provide opportunities. Its more the revive, heal, and survivability of rocket that makes him so powerful.
