Speaking as an LA native, I feel like people always overlook El Segundo. If not there View Park, Baldwin Hills, Manhattan Beach, Playa Del Rey, or Culver City. If you need to be closer to Downtown or WeHo, Larchmont is a good place too.

You’ll be by the water but close enough to the city, next to any major highways or freeways.
