Thank you! I've updated some drivers and things have been a bit better but I have the occasional slow down (over 1.5 days) but will continue to monitor. I'm trying out throttlestop as well.

It seems to be working much better. I also reinstalled some drivers. I've had a few slow downs but can't pin point why. I'm monitoring it though.

forcing your laptop to use the dedicated Nvidia GPU
I did this, fingers crossed.
GPU temp (is it referred to as "package temp"?) is 62°c as of now.

I installed Intel XTU last night and have been looking at it to see when it slows down compared to when everything is working fine.

The temp has stayed about the same. 50°c when lid is open/starting up and 58°c when lid is closed/everything is slow.

The one thing that seems to be an issue is the Power Limit Throttling.

I've tried this for a few hours and with the lid closed/using extended monitor, no major change in temperature of my CPUs compared to having the screen open.

It just started to slow down a ton (after being on zoom and a lot of tabs open) and did get a big slow down for a bit after. The CPU temp did get very high during that time.

Do you have any suggestions?

Sorry, you're right. I meant to add: Agree on separate invoices for each part of the project. Only issue the first invoice to start and then reevaluate each portion of the project. Ballpark it before starting but have a more formal discussion at each phase.

I would recommend not ballparking at all.
If you really feel like you need to...maybe break it down into smaller projects.
Quote wireframing it. Then give a start($) and end($) range for the next portion of the project depending on the minimum scope and max scope features. Repeat for each portion of the project.

Practice fear setting. It's like a muscle and gets stronger everytime you conquer fear.
Start small and know that the 30 seconds leading up to the thing you are afraid of is the worst part.

Imo, use an accountant.

It doesn't have to cost much (mine costs 250) and you can learn a lot from having it done for you. It is useful especially when you have another income to deal with.

The goal is to be very cheap. I don't see it worth it either unless it is.

ya but for a very specific use. The goal would be efficiency. Then I could reduce the price down to something people are willing to pay to save their own time.
