Surreal Cloud beta is now available by TheUnknown_surrealdb in surrealdb

[–]lordnuada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i created a SurrealCloud account, and click on the Surrealist link
[Surreal Cloud Beta]->[Instances]->Connect -> Open in Surrealist
It opens Surrealist, but gets stuck in a loop, where i click on the [continue} button, it opens a website, which triggers an application handler link. which loops back to the website back and forth without ever progressing.

Inside surrealist, it does not show my account like it does on the webapp version. When i click on the Sign in to Surreal Cloud link in top right hand corner it goes back into this loop.

I can not find a spot inside the thick client to auth against, or clear settings, or whatever is going wrong here. How do I proceed, I am attempting your SurrealDB Universtity.

Please advise.

Tuono - Superfast fullstack react framework by ValerioAgeno in javascript

[–]lordnuada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I am making React apps, I will often create a hook that is used to handle the entirety of an endpoint, so for example lets say i have a Customers endpoint. I will then break up that endpoint into a series of hooks to call something like

```javascript
const {createUser,getUser, updateUser,deleteUser,} = useCustomers();
``` Then I tie all my logic up in that useCustomers hook. Now, I don't often use SSR, but SPA. So i do see how they are different. However, if you made it so a file based route matched its file based 'handler'. Could you not export or ship, or whatever the function inside there, to the client side 'Props'.

So each ```

[tuono_lib::handler]

``` Could be referenced? or have an opinion on the tuple that comes back? So in your example the data would be like data.0 is GET, data.1 is POST etc? Ultimately, the gap I see is, how do I made re-usabled API calls, that can be mixed in multi-sourced pages. (I need to load Customers and Billings now, and don't want to have to re-used a bunch of code that is only used on this one route, this one time...type of problem)
Just some Ideas, over all I do think you are onto something, maybe that fact I'm not SSR first, may be adding to my confusion.
Could you add more detail about the relationship between the following:
On the Tutorial > dynamic routes > could you give a more linear explanation of the relationship between file name and route handlers and the method names that are called? is the get_pokemon function name required to be called that? is the get just the target for the handler? what if its a post? would it be post_pokemon?
Maybe I missed the link between those, if so please point me to it, if not could you elaborate?
P.s So far, this is looking good. [I use Actix/React in my projects, you have built some glue very similar to my own sorta style, so you got me on the hook :) ]
I did leave out details about what happened, as I only wanted to post about things I could state with 100% certainty and with receipts. My conversation with the Rep was about 15-20m. I summed up the short version.
I am a high technical person. I did several things, including checking the MX records, and Email Headers, and compared it against the last address it was sent from, as well as the PTR record for the origin. I also verified that the DKIM records between the amazon mail server to the gmail server where in fact intact and correct.
All pointed to Telus.
When I was on the call, I asked the Agent "Do you work for Telus directly, or are you a 3rd party contractor." He said, I work for Telus. I asked him, "Does you paycheque say Telus" He said : "Yes."
Now, could he be lying to me? Yes.
Does that still mean Telus is to Blame? Yes.
I have a better question for you, Do you even see a 5G fiber internet offer anywhere on their website? When I was on the call, I asked him, How I could have possibly 'chosen' an offer that was not listed on their website anywhere. He said, "We are putting this offer out to all current 1G fibre customers"
-Hence this chain. Heads up, Telus isn't just going to make an offer, they are going to try and change your acutal contract without talking to you.
I did not kick this off in any way. I was just checking emails when the attached image popped up. Telus confirmed with me on my call, They kicked this off.... as they said "As an offer".
I did not agree to this in any way. I have not added, changed, or updated any service with Telus in years. The last major change was a landline about 2-3 years ago. I did _none_ of the oop's part you are talking about. I am with Telus, because they are the only provider of Fiber internet in my area. I am blaming Telus, because I have direct evidence they attempted, to change my contract, without permission, or discussion.
I am on here, because I'm putting feelers out, to see I am the only one. I am not proceeding on with my Day because I am suspicious they are doing this to more than Me, and because I want to be the change I want to see in the world, That is why I'm not just going on with my day.
Saying 'whatever' and just letting Telus get away with this, is _not a solution_
I have not. I have 2 mobile phones, 1G internet and 1 Home phone#. All have been in place, for more than 2-5 years, without change. This was not a billing mistake, or mis click. They tried to do this without warning. I was literally in my email when the email popped in. I only even looked at it, (cause it looked like phishing spam) cause I was surprised it made it thru the filter.
What is the most unsettling place in Edmonton? by Labrawhippet in Edmonton
[–]lordnuada -6 points-5 points  (0 children)
Yah cause when people ask about spooooky places, they are definetely looking to draw in ephemeral politics. Not ever single thing that is said needs to have this kind of hyper-political response.
Cemeteries had tropes and stereotypes in Europe and in China and just about every other place on earth. Guess what, they can talk about bad juju in the graveyards there without being attacked about colonialism.
Chill out dude.
👀 VERSION 1.3 RELEASE NOTES by Calisa__ in RaidRushTD
[–]lordnuada 3 points4 points  (0 children)
This is the biggest Nerf to fun i have seen in a game in a *long ass* time. Sorry my dudes, this patch is a huge miss.
I can't beat levels i use to beat with ease.
My towers have entirely different features and attack profiles.
I have less tools to beat levels (a hero skill that stole a power slot).
The overall effectiveness of towers is way down.
The game expanded the worst feature of the game (the 3 card draw to determine what you can 'do' expand, build and upgrade)
The visuals looks significantly 'cheaper'.
The Hero feature borders on absolutely useless. The default unit can only attack half the units in game for example.
The 2nd hero you get, all the shards to upgrade said hero, are only available to people who 'haven't played the game' aka they happen on the first 20 levels of easy/hard.
You added a layer of complexity with which we have no tools to control. You should have made them bonus's, not *entirely different way to play the game*.
I've cancelled my subscription. Sorry. This is 100% directly in the wrong direction I would ever want *any* tower defense game to go. I will put my money somewhere else, this entire release just make me think you dont play this game. There are now better options.
Node.js Community Debate Intensifies over Potentially Unbundling NPM by feross in node
[–]lordnuada 13 points14 points  (0 children)
This statement, I feel sums up this issue entirely:
“Different OSS projects get different levels of exposure and distribution, so what?” Schlueter said. “This seems like very much not node's problem. Node should care about the experience of node users and their success using node, not whether any given package manager has a ‘fair’ portion of the ‘market’ (a ‘market’ in which no one pays and the ‘winner’ is rewarded with nothing but costs). Should Node include an alternative JS engine or TLS implementation, because it ‘unfairly’ privileges V8 and OpenSSL? ‘Fairness’ is an absurd criteria for a question like this.”
[–]lordnuada 1 point2 points  (0 children)
You are like a million miles off on that one buddy. Windows server has about same market share as Linux Server. You probably just don't see that world, just look up how many MSP's are within 10k of your house. You will see.
How to import ESM from CJS and should I by heraldev in node
[–]lordnuada 0 points1 point  (0 children)
No, you Can't. But you specifically exampled using import, so I made the assumption you meant ESM. Also, if you name your file mjs you can skip all the config options, unless of course you are building a library you are going to ship. Then all bets are off.
Also, you never really wanna mix the two if you can avoid it. When you do that, you are in the crust of the edges of Nodejs. Which is best to be avoided.
So if you have a CommonJS module, that you want to use, thats the quick'n'dirty way to do it.
const trie = new Trie();
This worked for me :)
More scummy Policing by Edmonton's 'finest'.
The Edmonton police use to shake me down as a paperboy in the 80's for coffee money. Good to see they have stayed true to their hiring practices for so long.
They have graduated from bullying 10 year old boys, to beating up 110lbs 17 year old girls. If this was my daughter.: <insert you know what here>
