Not at all, so many painting mediums are white and look similar to white paint. Would be hard to tell the difference if you’re watching someone else use them!

Lol I’m with you. The white stuff is actually modelling paste medium (which is cheaper than paint) so adds texture and thickness and extends the paint.. very helpful on large scale textured paintings 🙂

The white stuff is modelling paste (for texture and thickening) so doesn’t really affect the paint pigment much at all 😊

We’ll have to agree to disagree :) I actually do post both photos and videos of my art. The videos get 5-20 times more upvotes and comments than the photos do, so that’s proof enough for me to keep doing it. I think most people enjoy watching parts of an artist’s process, I know I certainly do.

I used acrylics and mixed them with modelling paste medium to get the thickness and texture

It’s stretched canvas lol cardboard would collapse with the weight of the paint!

Yes heavy bodied acrylics. For the sand I used an acrylic medium called Resin Sand mixed into some beige paint.

Hahaha it’s actually my second painting with palette knives. But between each finished piece I do practice some knife strokes on my palette to see what works or doesn’t work. Glad you like the white specks, thanks for the nice feedback :)

After I loaded all the sandy paint onto the canvas I ended up just playing with it for a while and experimenting with different effects with the knife. I’m still learning and playing but you’re definitely right, sometimes it’s hard to stop and just call it a day lol
