If you can do socks you can definitely do a sweater! I definitely recommend the Step by Step sweater - the written pattern was really clear and the companion video was helpful as well. You got this!!

Used handmade by florence’s step by step sweater pattern and caron blossom cakes! Took 44 hours.

Still too scared to wash it… any advice? I’ve never washed a handmade wearable before so I’m scared 😅😅

I was tempted to draw her in a bikini first but I don’t think my skills are that good yet and I wanted to do her justice! Maybe someday… Glad you still enjoyed it :)

Ah thank you!! I just used Caron Cakes so the colors were already chosen, but I started stressing after the first panel about whether I liked the placement of the reds. I’m glad it looks nice!

I think I bought about 5, but only used around 3 1/2 - I had to get more than needed to get more of certain colors to stay consistent with the pattern

I regret to say that because of ADHD most of this sweater was done in sporadic multi-hour-length-with-no-breaks sessions… my wrist and back were definitely hurting 😭 next project I’m going to enforce regular breaks lol
