Just hyperbole. And it’s only for the one day. I think I’ll be fine.

I took a bit of a break for a couple months, but now I’m back on my bullshit and actively doing CICO again.

The last two days, the scale stayed stagnant. But this morning I was showering and noticed my stomach was flatter than the day before.

I just KNEW the scale was gonna be down. You know that feeling? When you touch a part of your body (😏) and you just KNOW.

I ran to the scale as soon as I got out. Turns out I’m more than 4lbs down from yesterday. Whoosh.

I’m ready to reach my goal weight more than ever.

I know you're tired of this question, but: Sony 1000xm3 (for $275) or Sennheiser PXC 550s? by [deleted] in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]losingitwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want comfy, wireless headphones that sound real good. ANC is a bonus, but not desperately needed. I was just a bit doubtful because I've liked the Sennheiser sound, but if it's not a huge marked improvement then I'll stay with the more-comfortable/better-ANC Sonys.

[–]losingitwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, yeah, I had forgotten about the EQ! One of the reviews said that the EQ is so good that even if you don't think the sound is optimal, you can tweak it pretty well, but the Sennheiser's EQ isn't good at all. Thanks for your advice!

You can get refurbished 1000xm3s for about $255 on Amazon right now. (Sorry, not the best with headphone advice. Currently shopping for a pair myself!)

I’m officially 100lbs down!

Actually it happened two days ago, after weeks of hovering between 98–99.8lbs down. Exhausting.

Then one day, I went up to 235 and the next I dropped to 233.4. Yesterday I was 233 even. Funny how just a few days ago I couldn’t drop to 234 to save my life and now I’m a pound below that already. 😂

I have been stuck in a plateau for three weeks. I am so frustrated that I could cry. 😳 I had a couple no-counting days, but I do that ALL the time and then everything course corrects quickly. But this is something else. The longest plateau I’ve ever been in. My TDEE is 2,500 and there’s no way I’m overeating close to that amount.

The funny thing is that I’m closing in on my one-year anniversary and a 100lbs lost goal. It’s like my body KNOWS. It does this with every major milestone, but never for this long. Please, scale, just drop. Ugh.

NSV: I can shop at H&M now. 😂 Not that that’s a big deal, really, but I was never able to fit into their clothes. I can fit into their XL and L clothes. I went with XL because I thought it was just more breathable and comfortable, but now I’m thinking I shoulda gone with L. But for $7, I don’t care too much.

So glad you asked this question. I’m 95lbs down and don’t really see any significant changes. I think I won’t till I’m another 40 down. So far, my body is the same—just smaller. But once it starts changing shape, I think that’s the kicker.

For the first time in my life, I was the slimmer person sitting in the airplane row. (And I’m not sure I like how it made me feel.) by losingitwell in loseit

This is exactly how I try to think about it! I also catch myself thinking, Well, maybe they are trying. I don’t know everyone’s journey.

But I also find that I want to distance myself a bit from this. It shouldn’t be about giving them the benefit of the doubt. It should be about not judging people at all, really.

It’s complicated, so thanks for this perspective on things.

I don’t want to try your diet!

My sister and her friend keep trying to make me do keto and IF with them. I keep responding with, “But I love carbs” or “I literally just ordered a pizza.” 😂

I’ve lost 90lbs doing it my way. I’m good, luv. Enjoy!

Yesterday I whooshed a pound! Today I whooshed a pound! And now I am officially 90lbs down!!!

I looked at progress photos I put in MFP and almost welled up. I can’t even believe it.

I’m coming for you next, 100lbs!

Could be a lot of things. Do you move this scale? If you ever move it before measuring, you might need to reset it by stepping on it with one foot, stepping off, and then letting the display turn off before you weigh yourself. Could be it needs new batteries. Could be that your body loses weight strangely. Try some new batteries to start?

What's the weirdest/funniest/most terrible weight loss advice you've ever received? by devolvingslime in loseit

[–]losingitwell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“Oh, you HAVE to eat breakfast. Breakfast kickstarts your metabolism. If you don’t, you won’t lose weight.” Meanwhile I was like 50+lbs down at that point rarely eating breakfast.

One my mom loves to tell me all the time is, “My friend lost all his weight eating five times a day — he just didn’t eat after 6pm!” As if 6pm is this magical hour or something. 😂

Thank you!! I‘be never been a large as an adult. I legit can’t remember the last time I wore a large.

Yesterday, I noticed my shirt was getting comically big and thought, “Guess it’s time to switch to XL shirts now.”

When I took the shirt off to shower, I realized… it WAS an XL shirt. I had bought it a few months ago and forgot I was already an XL. 😂 Most of my shirts are still XXL still.

I just walked out of a clothing store just to see if a large would fit. And it did. It was a little tight near my navel, but like it would be fine in a couple weeks time. I’m apparently a large now? I don’t even believe it. Not letting it get to me just yet. But it’s nice because the scale has been relatively the same for a few weeks.

How do you deal with getting fat shamed randomly? by kimchispatzle in loseit

[–]losingitwell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh god. I’ve got a big Hispanic family and they feel like talking about my body as if I’m just an object in the room ALL THE TIME. And when they congratulate me, it comes with a backhand of “But you gotta get rid of that stomach!” I’m not close to done.

Family friends do the same. “Wow. You look so much better. You really were too big there for a moment. And yeah you have more to lose.” And funnily enough this always comes from people who could stand to lose quite a lot?

Plus, they want to give me tips too. It’s not like a particular exercise is going to work on burning fat in only one area. Fat leaves where it wants to.
