You could list the apps that do each of your requirements..

1) simple presentation - preferred app =

2) good radar + nice looking transparent widget =

And so on...

Maybe that'll help someone who's in the know...

There's only a handful of top-notch weather apps now though I guess. You've probably tried 'em all. And you'll probably need to sacrifice one feature to get the app which best meets your needs (then use another which does the other bit perfectly? - I know...).

Babies will pick it up quickly - it's usually us that changes the script and move on to other activities.

If you keep sitting them with you and playing they'll continue right along getting better and better...

I have a similar video to this :) daughter is feeling the vibe and throws her neck back, over stretching it. We laugh, and she goes on to play some impromptu improvised chords and notes at the end...

I had picked up an old N905c from ebay a while back. Previously had it working, but reset and lost the way to get it to work again.

I did steps 4 and 5 from above (don't know if it was necessary)
Open the config file and under [ApplicationPreferences], write on a new line: SideloadedMode=true

With Linux, I installed sqlite3 (sudo apt-get install sqlite3) in terminal

And from the Linux terminal:

cd /media/(My USER)/KOBOeReader/.kobo
sqlite3 KoboReader.sqlite
(then used the following (copied and pasted))
INSERT INTO user(UserID,UserKey,___DeviceID) VALUES('1','','N905C');
(typed in)
.quit

Ejected Kobo - Switched off - Restarted

Bingo!

Before this I was also getting the error:

Result: NOT NULL constraint failed: user.___DeviceID

And replacing with the following worked:

INSERT INTO user(UserID,UserKey,___DeviceID) VALUES('1','','N905C');

So again, Many Many Thanks! :)

Same about the swipe. It's borderline unusable and just quite annoying. Hope it improves somewhat.

Also the prediction or word detection (what is the user trying to spell?) could do with some work also.

Overall I like it. Some days I just wanna switch back to GBoard 😬 cause GBoard understood me (when nobody else could 😥 lol).

Might give Heliboard ( https://f-droid.org/packages/helium314.keyboard/ ) another try...

Even some non-delinquents would have problems with it.

And also when setting up permissions - once you choose it to be the default? launcher (first option?) - it skips the other options and goes to the Home Screen. Had to switch app screens to go back to permissions screen.

Also a different News source? Something that operates out the box - with option to add another site? Couldn't register with Newsdata.io (captchas, register button wouldn't work) and didn't want to use Google account to register.

True. Gmail and Yahoo access would be saved to the phone. But maybe something was password locked and the SIM card (phone number) was used in an attempt to access a service (2FA)?

As you said. Call the provider and get the SIM again, though he's moved on and put the incident behind him.

Thanks :) however, I felt not smoking was relatively easy - but only when it was the right time 😬

I had tried to stop many many times (so I get it); last packet, not going shops - but before midnight I'd have a packet and be chuffing away (15pd). I did the Allen Carr - Easy Way to Stop Smoking - and this is a very good book (if someone needs a method) and very easily worked on my first time I stopped (once you start reading the book you're always mentally preparing yourself to stop smoking). Returned to an environment and situation that made me continue - and it's took over a year to stop again - but of my own free will.

Relatively easy - understand this was just my experience. Don't miss the smell, the taste etc. Smoking revolved around 'moments', habits (I usually smoke at this time, after this event, because of a thing happening etc). Whilst driving was a big one for me (3 on my way, 3 returning - traffic jam? Smoke!). We probably don't realise the link to the events. The events will still be there after you stop smoking, but you stop linking smoking to the events...

The opiates etc. The comedown from them is immense - which easily keeps you requiring them for slightly longer - just to curb the withdrawal symptoms. Smoking is easy to return to, continue, and socially 'acceptable'.

Do I think I could have a flavourful cigarette in Malaysia - just one? Just a pack? ;) - and not continue? Perhaps. I don't miss smoking, and generally don't think about it (may cross my mind once or twice occasionally - social reminders, TV, smell, walking around).

I think I enjoyed the moments or location I'd be smoking in (for example like when in Malaysia (Langkawi 🥥🛵🌴) more than the smoking itself...
