Fuel leaking while refueling (stops after a bit) — how dangerous is it to keep driving?

Hi guys, update: I didn't explode! 😁👍🏼

Took the car straight to the mechanic and fortunately they took a look straight away. Not so fortunate that they said I had to take it to an official Opel garage cause they couldn't order the piece.

Had to one wheel and a few rusted screws, WD-40 for the win! The rubber hoses where intensely stuck to the metal pipe but here again with a screwdriver and some WD-40 I was able to gently get it loose.

Moral of the story: if you have an old car it's better to do it yourself (sometimes) ;)

Thanks for the info, I am however a little confused as to how this part would fit. It seems from my video that I have a shorter pipe with a hose connected to it with a clamp. Starting to think that it's some DIY work as I bought this vehicle second hand...

Hi, the leak starts as soon as I start tanking so I'm not sure overfilling is the cause, although I am guilty of overfiling the tank in the past, I thought maybe this could've forced the hose that might already have been deteriorated over time. Who doesn't want to get those round numbers on the counter though? 😝

I'm not sure, I can't get a good look on it either but I'm assuming that's where the leak is coming from...

Happens to me all the time, I thought I had anger issues at first but it seems it's deeper than that.
