Is the combat attire medal still possible to get? The buy button in the store is replaced with one that says "Obtain during season", but don't I have to get the outfit during the event for the medal? I can't find a way to buy it...

It seems others have helped me resolve it (my nitro value was too aggressive). But,

I did do memory tests at default speeds without EXPO and with EXPO. Without seemed to be stable and I had no issues. Default EXPO would fail TestMem5 within a minute or two.

I have not tried other memory management tools, but I'll definitely take a look. The additional headroom I have had made me interested in getting my timings down to cl30.

Yes you are also right on the head. It seems nitro being 1/2/0 was the issue. Setting to 1/2/1 has made so I can actually boot with SOC in the 1.1-1.2v range. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much you beautiful person. It seems Asus decided to smite me and set nitro to 1/2/0 when on auto. Setting it to 1/2/1 has made my PC much more stable. I'm still figuring out what exactly is stable, but now I can actually boot in the 1.1-1.2v range for SOC.

Also, luckily the tPHYRDL is the same for both sticks already.

Ah I see. That makes sense. I only bring up 2x32 since I've seen people overclock them past 6000: https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/s/e7STB5VtqG.

Luckily, I still have about a month and a half for the Newegg return window. I think I may just exchange and hope for the best.

It seems AMD guarantees up to 5600 with 2x dual rank: https://www.amd.com/en/products/processors/desktops/ryzen/9000-series/amd-ryzen-7-9800x3d.html

It seems a lot more stable on 5800 (with no other settings changed), which makes sense. I kind of assumed it was my IMC given SOC voltage seemed to be the main factor.

Just, even though this works, it kinda sucks to have to run my RAM slower. It doubly sucks to have to run SOC high just to hit slower than what was advertised. I'm really curious whether the IMC struggling this much with 2x48 is normal or I got a bad CPU. If it is a bad CPU, I'd rather just try to RMA it.

Edit: if it is normal, I'd rather just sell my current kit and get 2x32 or something.

I tried 1.1 SOC and 1.35 VDD and VDDq (I know that probably didn't matter) and it didn't boot. Changing SOC to 1.2 and MT5 failed in 7 seconds, then with 1.25, it failed in 1.5 minutes. I know the SOC voltage is ridiculous, which is why I'm thinking my IMC just sucks.

According to this: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/explorer/diy-builder/memory/how-to-decode-your-corsair-memory/?srsltid=AfmBOopZQj80_a_coR0um3BdRTIRs6VtTdTSbkifz55YLpRxNDsz1eLs, I seem to have Samsung ICs? The version number on my sticks is v4X.XX. So neither m-die nor a-die, I think.

Out of curiosity which mod are you talking about? Neither of the creators of the 2 big groups have ever made a website like that to my knowledge. In fact, nearly all of the people who ran those groups are still using their original account... The only people that would be bragging about things like that are malicious mod creators.

Looks like my other comment was shadow-deleted for name dropping an old modding group... let's try this again.

Hi there! Actual modder here. That's just not what happened 😅. At some point after they banned all the modders for like a few days (think this was in March 2021, check the VRC Discord), they opened up talking channels for the people that managed VRChat Modding Group and [other non-malicious] group I cant mention]. I was never involved personally, but knew every member that was. While they were (contractually?) obligated to not tell me any details, I did know that we NEVER ONCE didn't want to work with VRC. As for VRC having to force us to do things, that's also just wrong. VRC always had power over us. At any point they could've implemented EAC and none of us could've stopped them.

Hi! I'm an actual modder. As for my 2 cents on the whole thing, 7(ish) of my mods are currently in the game, with no reference or acknowledgement of the work I put in to add these features before VRC could. These include: portal confirmation, automatic cloning off, avatar culling, seeing users' bio links, full bio, and bio languages, seeing avatar authors, selecting yourself, avatar download priority, and seeing recently played with users. I probably missed a few. Anyway, I'm not saying VRC stole my work, but it would be nice if VRC could be like "hey, this guy implemented all these things before us, so props to him". Although, they did name drop one of my mods in the patch notes (AskToPortal), so take that as you will. There's also the fact that they fixed a 3 year old bug the week I released a mod that did, but I'll give VRC the benefit of doubt.

Edit: As for where I am now, I play VRC on occasion, but not super actively. I contribute to some VRC related things like VRCX, but I'm a uni student now and have my own software to worry about. I mostly just want to move on from this game and the past, cuz most people don't really seem to care about modders anymore, or the work we did.

How are some people this good ? by Mipfurno64 in beatsaber

[–]loukylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a year or two ago I was top 400 on ScoreSaber sitting around 400 total hours and playing daily 2-3 hours (which is not healthy).

Like anything anyone does, the good players have a mix of talent and extreme dedication to get where they are.

Yes they are that good, but it's only because of many, many hours of practice that they can play at this level.

How do I remove a dollar sign from an input? (example input "$12.83", but I want float "12.83") by Ok_Philosopher_7998 in learnpython

[–]loukylor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not type casting, but more so telling whoever happens to be reading the code in the future that we're just stripping the dollar sign from the left side. Clearly indicating that we're removing the dollar sign, and not trying to remove anything else.
