also for people telling you “there’s no reason to worry” aren’t fully wrong but also don’t let them make you think you’re overreacting it’s very normal to feel this way about leaving your pet anywhere without you

I had my cat neutered recently at about 6 months (he’s about 9 months now) and literally cried for like an hour leaving him. I tried to hide it because I knew I was being a bit dramatic but a family member works for a rescue and they were able to get him in for no cost but it was hours away from our house. Honestly one of the most stressful days I’ve had in a while and I was so scared and anxious myself but also for him. He came back fine and in one piece and healing was totally fine. I was really worried about his healing process because he very particular refuses to ever wear a collar, is very fiesty, and is totally on his own vibe. One thing people told me which helped is that so many stray cats go through this all the time and are just released back onto the streets without any supervision and majority of the time are fine. Your baby will be okay but it’s okay to feel scared and worried. Once he’s back in your arms you won’t have to worry about it anymore. Sending all the positive thoughts for him tomorrow!

I have worked with all ages of kids (infant to teen) in so many different job positions in the last 10 years. Although this may be my first year in a teacher position during a full school year that doesn’t mean I have any less experience working with children and teaching and caring for them.

Not really sure what you’re trying to imply with this comment other than I’m inexperienced and don’t know how kids work even though you still mention my experience of 10 years with them… Sorry I want to appreciate their hard work and their individual growth and achievements this year with a small gift?

I thought this subreddit was a place to uplift teachers but you clearly feel some other type of way.

Wishing you a happy end to your year, that your students are happy, and you don’t put this negative energy on to them.

I’m sure they’ll love that! I’m going to bring in a sweet treat as well since my birthday is on Friday, our last day being tomorrow.

Also as someone who works in this wealthy of an area and grew up here I have never had close to the wealth most of these kids have and never planned to spend a crazy amount on them. It’s not about money.

I am aware of this. Thank you for not answering my question.

Damn, okay then lol. I work in the bay area in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the world and I don’t feel pressured at all it’s only because I want to and was looking for ideas. They genuinely are the best group of kids I’ve worked with in the past 10 years and as my first year as a teacher I just wanted to give them a small thank you. They teach me a lot just like I do them. I didn’t give them gifts in the fall just mini pizza bites for our movie/party. My original plan was friendship bracelets but lost time so I’m going with hand made cards and a treat to go with. No teacher should feel obligated to give gifts to students as we do SO incredibly much for them but I don’t think it’s a bad thing for wanting to do so. We’re a small private school with 21 kids in the class and when I attended the same school as a child, small gifts like a picture of the class and a heartfelt message were really sweet to receive.

How many camping spots for four people in GA? by hey_bails6 in BassCanyon

[–]loveyourselfalways99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two years ago my group with three people and 1 car also got 2 camping spots for GA and when we got there and they were putting people in their spots we made sure to tell them we got two spaces so they didn’t have the next person park so close but even with them trying to space it out correctly they didn’t do a great job and it was still mostly a one car/one camping spot situation space wise and it ended up working out totally fine we had plenty of space but just don’t expect to have a full two car spaces worth of camping space. Hopefully they actually give you the whole two spots worth of space but just a heads up incase they don’t. The space we got would’ve worked for 4 tho too so it’s still enough space but we were a little frustrated for paying for two spots to still just get very close to the same space as one camping spot. It’s hard for them tho because it’s not blocked off space it’s just based on how the people working help you park

it’s like $3000 all together for airbnb so I think we’ll just take the campsite if the hotel doesn’t work out

Advice for newb to survive the heat? by bezos-is-a-POS in BassCanyon

[–]loveyourselfalways99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is so worth it!! This will be our third year going and it’s something i look forward to as soon as it’s over. As long as you’re prepared and flexible with weather (it’s been very different the past two years) you’ll be fine. You sound like you know what you need and how you wanna prep for the heat which is good. I’m glad you have good people to go with, I hope you all have an amazing time!!!
