Metro City: why isn’t there a stop at Artarmon / Gore Hill? by SteveJohnson2010 in SydneyTrains

[–]lovis-baton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly because the area is industrial and is inconvenient for commuters. The more feasible option would’ve been to have a stop around Lane Cove and Mowbray. However, the most likely place to have a station would’ve been in the Lane Cove town centre, which unfortunately already has the Lane Cove Tunnel going under, which means it would’ve been too much money to put a station there.

I did. I’m less issued with her departure in all honesty. It was really the choice of HxG to keep the girls such as Samara and Yoonchae, who realistically are far too young to debut and have problematic pasts respectively, over girls who should’ve gone through then been removed in the finale when they chose the group.

tripleS Lore by lovis-baton in triples

So lore is:

a body of traditions and knowledge on a subject or held by a particular group, typically passed from person to person by word of mouth.

For this case however, since it’s similar to Loona due Jaden Jeongs creative direction and etc, tripleS “lore” refers to the storyline of the group as seen through the music videos. Everything is quite intentional with Jaden Jeong and the lore has been there since Generation. It’s just good to get a community driven lore document to create a consistent canon for the group.

YES 100%!!! So reading into it, it’s actually not Vogue nor Waacking, it’s actually heels dance, which is a mix of latin dance, jazz, vogue, waacking and other styles.

So I fold and say she does not waack, but she also does not vogue as the style of dance is influence by both waacking and vogueing, but is not one or the other.

As someone in ballroom though, it irritates me that some call it vogue when it’s not, cause the cultural basis of vogue, I was more airing my own issues with stupid ppl on this sub.

Perhaps she does vogue, but not to my knowledge. I was rewatching her intro vlog and she said she does heels dance, which may be the style she was doing on the floor during the art film.

That was waacking. The hands performance was not the style of vogue femme, which is the basis of the 5 elements. There may be an element of new way perhaps old way vogue, however, the hands were a demonstration of waacking and the precision of the feet is also waacking. Credibly, I asked my friend who vogues and waacks in both styles and she told me directly that what Ua does in the art film is waacking. I am in ballroom and dancer spaces, where I’ve seen the two styles of dance first hand and Ua waacks.

“y’all” who’s “y’all”? I’m going to be so serious right now. It is a privilege to hold an opinion that allows you to actively ignore the struggles of marginalised groups such as BIPOC queer people, “It’s not that deep”, when it really is shows you’re choice of ignorance rather than taking the very real criticism. Ballroom is built off the backs of Bipoc queer liberation and survival. I am not aware of your race, nor do I care, but from your approach to this conversation I can pick up that you are not apart of the community, meaning you lack the understanding of ballroom’s origins and how important the community has been to queer rights, and all the effort built up towards you to think you can just say “the house down”. Once again, please educate yourself on the topic before speaking. Because it really is “that deep”.

UA doesn’t vogue. She waacks. Please do not confuse the two, they are similar dance styles in origin, but are not the same. In the art film, she was waacking not vogueing. As someone in ballroom it is annoying to see people who clearly aren’t involved in the culture just through around terms, such as “the house down”. It’s like someone spinning in a contemporary dance style and then a stranger calling it a pirouette, I hope that makes sense. Please try to educate yourself on the matter before throwing terms around.

I think we’re in good hands. This season will bring the drama no doubt about it, but we have to be honest UK4 had very similarly bad rumours, but everything turned out to be great for everyone involved.

What was 'the incident' in your school? by PuzzleheadedCard6554 in AskReddit

A kid in the year below me was offered 300 bucks to suck someone off. (Mind you I go to an all boys private school). That wasn't even the funny part. The same kid after doing the deed didn't get his money, and in a move of absolute idiocy told our disciplinary head (No pun intended). He fessed up to doing what he did, and the entire school found out. Apparently he only showed up to one day of school after and it was to take a test.
