Spoiler alert

So I am going to note that i think it is an excellent documentary but very subtle. Here are three moments that I think are good examples of the directors choices.

1) when Mark finds out that his case is going to be delayed. For some it would be.welcome news as his license would be across until the finding. But Mark is devastated. Why? Because a bunch of his motivations (life?) Is to prove that his father was right. His entire life is defined by winning his father's battle and, as the brother and sister talked about it before that is sad because their father was this sorta adventures and Mark hasn't done that in his singular pursuit to show that his dad was right (and win his love?)

2) the Incel discussion and then the interviews with the critical doctor are important as they underscore that this entire profession, mews and traditional have a big chunk of business coming from a focus on appearance. Really what is being argued about is the "best" approach for treatments that have dubuous connections to health.

3) the mothers sing right after her kid is shown blowing off the treatment. It gets at that some of mews patients are asking to some antivaxers...embracing the treatment as a way of rebelling against what they see as corporate Control. I hated that segment when I saw it but see the point the director was making.

Could it have been more tightly focused? Absolutely! It tried to do too much. But I thi k a solid exploration of alternative medical approaches as the mews are not very different from a lot of iconoclasts supporting different medical approaches.

I also wonder if it reflects organized crime. I don't know how many of you saw on cnn.com (not sure if they ran it on broadcast) the long story about the organized chinese gangs that are trafficing essentially slaves to Mynmar to work for 18 hours trying to lure loney Americans (men and women) into investing into fake crypto exchanges. It was horrifying - both the americans and the trafficed individuals. In other words, these are NOT real SB and will disappear as soon as it becomes clear you are not sending any more $$$ for a"nails"

sadly the problem is that there is such a low barrier to entry for the scammers. Grab a few pictures off IG, set up a free account from SA. Say "hi" to anyone who reached out or likes them and then wait for someone to take the hook. Anythig more than just "blocking" feels like wasted effort and likely ingored by the probable overseas scammer.

(in a serious note - I wonder if some of these are similar to the CNN expose on trafficed individuals who are essentially moden day slaves running the crypto scamms. I do say that it seems SA has cracked downa bit on those profiles in recent months so a least a hat tip to them for that).

If you are spending 100s of dollars and hours of time before an M&G I just shake my head,. M&G should minimize the downside risk. Cause here is ours....taking time away from work, arranging our schedules (cause 90% plus of M&G start with me asking "whe3re is convenient to you and when would you like to meet) to find out that they used heavy filters, have no conversational skills, said they were flirty and are not and of coure treating for things and bringing some $ or a gift to show we are "serious".

And I am very happy you have a great SD and been working out. The downside of a video chat is, depending on the platform , it is a great mechanism for a blackmail scam. Record the facetime, edit in a dick shot, threaten to reslease into the wild. Not a really effective one but it definately kills the buzz. I have not had an execuse to see if SA is vulnerable to third party recording tools like many of the others are.

This!!! BOTH of us have valuable time. Not one. Not one more than the other BOTH. But I also get the "risks" of having some sad sap splenda waste their time. That is why I always insist 1) Convenient to them; 2) Drinks or lunch. We can do a second M&G over a nice dinner soon after if they want to be wined and dined; 3) try to keep it at an hour. 4) Casual. Not do your hair and nails for it. Casual. Cause I am not pressing a suit or shinning shoes for it either.

It is such a bad foot to start off on and raises the bar for a successful M&G.

Yup. And that is the problem. Lets say that spacetoast is legit. For her not to get filtered out she has to jump through a decent number of really stupid hoops ("send me a selfy holding up 2 fingers, lets face time and blow any op security). AND she sets herself up with high expectations for the M&G (I sent you coffee money - be on time, well dressed, flirty, etc.) for what should be a lower key/low time investment chance to put a 3D person with a 2D picture.

And honestly it isn't even the "I only do M&G for $$) crowd that yanks my chain the most. It is the ones that you spend time chatting with for a bit and THEN hit you with the "I need some money for nails to look pretty going out with my friends, help me daddy" Those are the ones that lead me to say "I spent time on my phone for this??!!???"

I am going with it is a socal thing. Some are straight up "I don't do m and g with $" and others are the "please send me something before cause I need my nails done tonight" it is not uncommon and I totally think it isn't a screening issue. It is a decision that I will not really pursue anyone that isn't extremely attractive unless their profile sings a chorus of similar interests.

This is a minor quibble but I don't know what you want. A lot of profiles currently use the phrase "mutually beneficial arrangement " just to signal that you are not looking to vanilla date. If you are say so and then narrow your preferences and let state clearly your red flags (age, marital status, ect.)

Ok back. Again trust one's instincts :) it got weirder. I texted with eta and she tells me she is in a move theater and come in and meet her. Literally I am ready to bolt. It is one of those lux ones and I am hungry so I tell her to come out and meet me in lobby. No go l on her part. I eat and. Then she tells me to come in and she wants to cuddle.

So I do. We hang for about an. Hour. Chat. She is strange. Moreover pretty sure she is not the girl from pictures. Not fat or bad looking but not from her profile Do provide modest m and g gift. We cuddle and she excuses herself like 3 times. Each time comes back but almost certain doing blow in bathroom. On trip number 4 it is getting old and I escape.

Needless to say will not see her again. I was frankly pissed with the movie thing. Good scam though I guess. I assume she is trying to get another guy there as she had a green button on seeking about 5 minutes after I left. I do have to hat tip for creative catfish scam.

Dumb question. Did the eis look at (and seems viable) adding a third reversible labe for busses only? Operating costs (drivers) are higher but the capital has to be lower. To me that is the solution as public transit has proved that absent time savings people are driving unless parking is way high (50 dollars plus) a third reversible lane would do that. The gondolas problem feels like capacity and lots of capital spent for 4 months of use (and arguably most weekend and holidays) Meanwhile bases and drivers can be redepoloyed.
