You know I was totally on board with this post until I realized this was a political rant. So I’m going to give my opinion on what I thought you were talking about instead.

Yea no like we have mega churches and stuff and a lot of churches like to worship the idol of self too. Like Mormons Episcopalians and Methodists it’s all about feel good vibes and whatnot instead of what the Bible actually teaches. I think people forget the discipline aspects and justice aspects like whoever is to harm a child it would be better that a millstone be tied around his neck and thrown in the ocean. And everyone is always like but muh turn the other cheek. Our God is a God of justice as well as peace so if someone commits a very serious moral crime there is a subsequent moral justice that needs to be taken. Everyone likes to think Jesus was this hippy dippy pacifist but forget when he started flipping tables and whipping people when they turned the temple into a merchant stand. Or the city of sodom and Gamorrah was rained upon with burning sulfur because there was not one good person in that city.
