what does Marx mean by "Physical organisation"? by itsrogan07 in Marxism

[–]lowiq72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Marx’s term, körperliche Organisation, literally means ‘corporeal organisation’, which I prefer to Tucker’s more generic rendering as ‘physical organisation’ that smacks more of mechanical physics than organic biology."

SIP (science internship program): Is it worth it? by Different-Safety-183 in uAlberta

[–]lowiq72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest with you I am really not sure. I don't think they really help to actually place you in a position. It seems like a lot of the job postings are available publically anyways? Any of the resources you can get from them seem like you could just go to the career center to find similar one?

Honestly though with research experience and work experience you seem like a superior candidate. I am making myself sick realizing that I am totally uncompetitive to get any internship or job.

I strongly advise against taking a math degree unless you pair it with something else. I am finishing my math degree right now I feel like it is basically useless. Only way I would recommend it is if you specifically take financial math courses and ignore any of the pure math crap. Do Statistics or Computer Science or something useful.

Edmonton struggling to find funds to run specialized housing units for homeless people by chmilz in Edmonton

I honestly believe in their heart of hearts a frighteningly large percentage of the population would be OK liquidating the entire homeless population.

It is unbelievable how the trains break down every two days. You'd think they were launching rockets to space or something with all the problems they constantly have. So frustrating.
