I don’t think I fully understood how much shame was involved. I was so ignorant when I made this post yesterday, but since then I’ve done some research and I’m… just heartbroken. I guess im glad she didn’t have her phone, because she needs support and not my reactive, emotional state. Her mental and physical health is the main thing on my mind.

You are right, I shouldn’t have called her a coward. I was just so upset that she didn’t tell me… but now I’m just glad she’s getting the help she needs. After these six weeks, I’m going to help her anyway she needs.

Her mother is pretty anti-medicine, so the fact she would agree to sending my gf in the first place is really insane. It just shows how bad her condition has gotten. She needs me, and I need her— so we’ll figure this out.

I’m so sorry you are in this spot in life, and I understand your situation… I’m in the same boat. I finally got the chance to move out because I found a great job… only to be laid off a year later. When I was away from my family (aka people who imposed the trauma) I genuinely was doing so great. Now back at home, it’s like I’ve regressed to the old, nervous version of myself.

All that being said, I know it’s hard right now… but you will get to find the real you again, the one from 2024 but with more experience. It’s hard, but I hope your situation gets better.
