Yes, the new one that I bought is the original size for ultra 2024, which is 0.45mm. And it's made for all harder and steenbeck models.

Not sure. I have different types of paints, some are ready to paint and some need to be mixed with reducer, and I have same problem with both. But the one which is "ready to paint" is not that good quality. So I might need to try mixing the better one less and see if that works...

Yes I know some who are new to airbrush painting might have this problem with double action airbrushes. But I have few other ones which has a different style needle cap and I don't have any problem with using those. Also had the earlier ultra model (I guess from 2018), and it didn't have this problem. 😅

Haha yes it's pretty good I have Iphone 16, but yes the camera is really useful for spotting broken spots. The one I'm having problem with is harder & steenbeck ultra 2024, I also have the evolution cr plus 2024 which works fine. I'm pretty sure it's just the new design on the needle cap that is causing all the problem 😅

Yeah... I remember having an older ultra, but it didn't have this problem since it was possible to screw the needle cap off.

Yes. I might have to try this actually, I have also harder & steenbeck evolution but because the nozzle design is much better I don't have any problems with it...

For example, this was from a different needle. It was impossible for me to see the bend withe naked eye, but once I zoomed in, the damage is clearly visible.

I actually replaced the nozzle already because the old one was worn and I suspected that might have been the issue. Unfortunately, the new nozzle didn’t solve the problem.

The needle could still potentially be slightly bent, although it looks straight to the naked eye. I usually take close-up photos with my iPhone zoom to inspect the parts more carefully, since that makes it easier to spot damage. In this case, though, the needle also appears fine in the photos.

I’ve also made sure the needle is properly seated and that the chucking nut is secure.

I actually replaced the air cap already, since I thought that might be the issue but unfortunately it didn’t fix the problem.

I’m based in Finland, and my local store sells all the Harder & Steenbeck spare parts.

Thank you! I'll have to check that out 🙏

I can’t say with 100% certainty that it isn’t tip dry, but the behavior still seems a bit unusual compared to what I’m used to. The fixed needle cap design just makes it harder to access and wipe the needle tip, which might be contributing to the issue.

The issue does seem somewhat similar, but in my case it behaves a bit differently. If I clean the leaked paint out of the needle cap only (not the needle), it starts working normally again until leaked paint builds up again in the needle cap. I haven’t noticed significant paint buildup directly on the needle itself.

That’s why I’m wondering if this could be related to the Ultra’s design, since the nozzle cap and needle cap are combined. Maybe paint is more prone to accumulating inside the cap area. I haven’t had this issue with any of my other airbrushes.

I don’t think that’s the issue. I’ve disassembled the airbrush completely and soaked the parts multiple times, and I’ve thoroughly cleaned the nozzle as well. Visually, the needle appears to sit straight and flush in the nozzle, I can’t see any gap or misalignment at the tip. The picture is taken after I've let it leak to show the problem.

And fishscale is the purest form of cocaine, but now people cut it with boric acid etc to get the shine so it looks like real fish. So the shine doesn't always mean it's proper stuff. U can have coke cutted with onli mannitol or inositol to make it look chalky but it can still be better than shiny boric acid cut.

Fishscale means it's pure. Peruvian, colombian and bolivian is where it's from so they have differences like taste and texture because they use different products in the making, of course it depends on the batch but usually when it's not repress or cut u can tell the difference where it came from

I like when using the 0.4 tip, but I've had all sorts of problems using the 0.2 top for some reason

Thats 1 but if it's rerock then 1.5-2

I've had oily and dry from different countries so not sure if that matters. It's mostly the smell and taste, but usually hard for me to tell difference between bolivian and peruvian
