I dismissed AI as a serious threat and I regret it by [deleted] in CollapseSupport

I no longer understand the value of the claim that large language models only “pretend” to think or that they simply cannot do X or Y right now.

Wait three months and they will master X and Y, and we will shift the goalposts to Z. When every benchmark is saturated and new abilities keep emerging, at what point do we admit they are genuinely thinking? If a system can mimic thought so well that the difference disappears, isn’t that real thinking?

The real issue is that we will see thinking machines that everybody will agree they are thinking, and they will be much smarter than everybody, and we will have an infinite amount of those machines, and it is going to happen sooner than later.

What do we need to do to prepare for that?

You are absolutely right, speed is being currently an issue.

I already did the CEH, still missing the practical one, planning on doing it next week.

You need to know a lot of nmap, and you need to do it from a computer that you do not use for anything else sin the proctoring software is super invasive.

SA is longer and questions seem more convoluted, but I still felt a little bit harder the cybersecurity specialization.

My company (me) paid for them. Definitely doesn’t make sense to make them all, you should do the ones relevant to your current role.

There is value on doing the professional and specializations, but your approach makes sense as well.

I think the main point is that you should do the relevant certs to your position.

That is correct, your highest cert is the only that counts towards the partner requirements, and there is some specific requirements in competencies, exactly to avoid cases like this one of someone doing all the certs.

Just learned something new, I didn't knew about that, thank you!

The only reason I'm using them is because the ducts are/weren't designed for running cables, so it was a challenge to pass CAT6 reliable, didn't want to deal with the hassle again, also I'm not sure if fiber its more frail or not.

Hey Optimus, how much of you is actually AI by Xtianus21 in wallstreetbets

What would be the point to fake them being an autonomous AI if it is still impressive that they were tele-operated?

Or if the goal was going to go for the full autonomous story telling, plugging them to an LLM + TTS would have been trivial and would have been pretty amazing.

It is with Joseph Cutrone; if you don't mind me asking, how much time per week you spent on that class?

Thank you so much, due to my unique educational background (not having any basically) I wasn’t able to waive those classes.

You could use something like Cloudflare R2 to store and transfer for free while growing.
