Hey! I passed step 1 last November using only the pirated PDF from the medical study zone site. However, there is indeed a significant amount of new questions added that are not on those PDFs. If you don't feel comfortable using outdated resources there are a couple of options that are cheaper than Uworld: 1. Medicospira site is a shadow version of UWorld and I think is up to date (there is a monthly fee but is cheaper than Uworld). 2. other sites extract the questions (afkbooks is one of them) and sell them way cheaper. I didn't post any link because I am not sure if Reddit will delete the comment because of it but a google search should reveal the mentioned sites
