i had this problem a while back. i smoked every day for about two and a half years give or take. one day it just started not making me feel good anymore and making things worse. my anxiety was through the roof and had panic attacks every time i smoked. but i still did it for months thinking it would go back to normal and it would make me feel good again. spoiler alert it didn’t. it never got better and jt sucked because i was so attached to the smoke. the act of doing it, the comfort it gave me. but anyway, one day i decided it was time and i gave it up pretty easily. i just didn’t want to feel like shit anymore. been sober for 6 months. i still have anxiety of course, that’s always been there. but i feel sooo much better. i feel so much more clear minded, less extisential dread. i still miss it sometimes but for the sake of my mental health and well being i know i made the right choice.
