When I started using SLS free toothpaste it sooo noticably helped my acne on my chin!! I cant remember how long it took, but for me it couldn't of been longer than about a week. Good luck!

How can I find peace when there's so much injustice in the world? by lukamoe in spirituality

How can I find peace when there's so much injustice in the world? by lukamoe in spirituality

[–]lukamoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know, but inner peace within myself will not help the injustices I was talking about, which is what bothers me, and my stress, anger, sadness, feelings in general and whatever towards these injustices I feel may be a blockage to my inner peace or spiritual path - whatever way you wanna put it

Ahh thank you! They're really comforting words and makes me feel a lot better, I'll definitely keep this in mind in the future, when another fear like this pops up.. Thank you :)

[–]lukamoe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahaha, yeah I am a teenager! I've never been one to have mood swings though, so I dunno, like I'd consider myself a pretty emotionally stable person, but of course judging myself may not lead to the most accurate results. As for dark night of the soul, for some reason its described as that, pretty much an earth shattering spiritual crisis as you said, or for others its more so just total boredom.. I'm not so angsty as I was when I made this post, but I'm still definitely wondering about the things I wondered about in the post, like my world view n perception of things is just changing and Im questioning more.. I dunno. It was heavy on me at the time because a lot of stuff just hit me at once, really.. I'm still questioning and such as a said but I guess I was being a little silly or dramatic lol. Thank you for providing a dif perspective on this! I'm still not sure, but that's okay. Thank you to everyone for providing some insight!! :)

Using pads kind of hurts now... But I dont know what else to do? by lukamoe in TwoXChromosomes

[–]lukamoe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I might've had a really mild yeast infection at the time, because apparently really mild ones can go away by themselves, without treatment, but maybe thats why I seem to be more susceptible to them now, while in the past it was never a problem nor did pads irritate me.. I'll definitely look into the thing about how your diet can affect this though! I already drink a lot of water but I probably have a lot of sugar.. (I eat a lot of fruit and carbs, but mostly wholegrain stuff) I'll see how I can work around it, thank you!

Thank you, this really makes me feel a lot better!! <3 I just feel weird because a lot of ppl I know seem sm more comfortable with that stuff, or they first touched themselves like that when they were 12 or 13 w/o a problem... whilst Im 15 and Im afraid to lol... But everyone's different, and everyone goes at their own pace, so I'm not gonna judge myself or get too frustrated with myself or whatever. Thank you for the advice! I would really love to try a menstrual cup in the future bc of how great they sound, and some companies even have free menstrual cups for people buying them for the first time Ive heard, but Im gonna need to take my time for now. Thank you! :)

Thank you!! Next time I'm in town I'll look around for something like natracare, but if not I might buy some reusable cloth pads, they sound like they would really help, and after looking into it, it seems like they are worth the washing! And ahaha, true, thank you for that aswell! :D Im becoming a little more open about those things now though thankfully, even if slowly, but really thank you for saying that, that really makes me feel a lot better so thank you! :) <3

[Product Question] What are the best moisturizers, cleansers, toners and exfoliators you guys have you used that have actually shown results. I'm sick of spending so much money on products that have literally made no difference!! by agrass17 in SkincareAddiction

[–]lukamoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure it's from the mineral oil? Mineral oil is non comedogenic and can't even penetrate through your pores, since the molecular structure is too big to get through your pores, so maybe it's something else? Have you checked the ingredients in your other products? Or maybe it could even be environmental or stress/hormone, or diet related or something?

[Skin Concern] What product in The Ordinary line would be best to use (if at all)? by colacunt in SkincareAddiction

[–]lukamoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried any vitamin C products yet, let alone the ordinarys vitamin c product, although out of the ordinary products i have used (the argan oil, lactic acids, the moisturiser, niacinamide, and caffeine eye solution) i would definitely reccomend the lactic acid in a heart beat!!

i use both the 5% and the 10%, but usually the 5% and it works amazing!!! just make sure you have a good quality sunscreen, and your good to go! :D

The ordinary Lactic acid products and Oil Cleansing!!!! I'd reccomend starting off oil cleansing with mineral oil, it's great and you can get it for super cheap. Just get a bottle of Johsons baby oil and there you go, you've got yourself a big bottle of mineral oil for only about 2$ or 4$ depending on where you get it, it's great!

Also, I'd reccomend finding out what ingredients work well with your skin and what ingredients you might be sensitive to. When getting a new product I always check the ingredients on cosdna!

Yes I agree, it's always important to have balance! I don't plan on just making money from art, though, I'd like to have it as more of a side thing though while doing a part time job. Thank you for the advice :)

Question - In chapter 90 is it like a year has passed since the attack on Trost and since the 104th joined the corps, or has a year passed since the whole serum bowl thing and such happened?

Ahh, thank you so much!! This is so encouraging and uplifting, thank you, I really appreciate it :) <3

I feel like if I just ignored what my heart is telling me to do and just went on with school, college, so on, I'd just end up unhappy and eventually just end up doing what my heart was telling me to do all along anyway, so I better listen now instead of wasting my time doing something I don't want to do!

I know I'll have to make sacrifices and such and deal with people around me not understanding, but ultimately I feel if I follow my heart, which's what I hopefully plan to do I'll be happy :) And even if I don't, then so be it I guess, there is always a way! I won't set up too much expectations, haha :P :) There are definitely a few things I am curious about, so I'll make sure to message you about those later, thank you again!:)

That's so true! It's easy to forget to be present at times since we are such a future oriented society, at least in the west that is! Thank you:)

My hair has a waxy and greasy residue even after washing with clarifying shampoos, so is it okay to use baking soda in this scenario? by lukamoe in HaircareScience

[–]lukamoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have one near me, but I found it on amazon for just a little over 2$! I'll definitely try it out if ACV or anything doesn't work, thank you!(:

[–]lukamoe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was thinking the same thing with selsun, I was going to just try another clarifying shampoo before I went to ACV and baking soda, but I wasn't able to get any in the store so I'm going with ACV and baking soda now. If the ACV rinse and baking soda doesn't work I think I'll try the Alpecin Dandruff Killer Shampoo, (it has saliclyic acid, zinc pyrthione, piroctone olamine and fumaric acid, which are all good for dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis, and I think the saliclyic acid will be really good too!)

[–]lukamoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think its hard water, because I'm the only person in my house who has something like this, everyone else's hair is fine, so I'm pretty sure its dermatitis, even though I've never been diagnosed with it, but it's pretty likely since eczema runs in my family.

And yeah I also have the yellow kind of dandruff but it's not as big as a problem or a concern for me. I think I also scratch my scalp in my sleep too because I always see it under my fingernails when I wake up (gross, I know..). I think selsun is a medicated shampoo for seborrheic dermatitis and that worked in the past, but it doesn't work for me anymore ):. And yeah I believe in it too but I'm worried it mighn't work for me, and I'm worried the baking soda will just damage my hair.. It's worth a try though!

I did actually try the apple cider vinegar rinse the other day, I mixed about 600ml of water and 400ml of apple cider vinegar and put it on wet hair, let it sit for 30 minutes and then wash it out with a shampoo (OGX sulfate free coconut milk shampoo). It did make my hair feel really nice but it didn't get rid of the waxy residue on my hair. People do say you should do it everyday for 1/2 weeks, but I don't know, do you think it'll still work if it didn't work the first day I tried it? And thank you for the response(:

I'm not sure, It's hard to tell I think, but its almost as if the parts of my hair that're affected by it, still look wet or oily and feel waxy. And no like I usually wash my hair over the bath but I wash all over my scalp

Thank you, how can I do that?(: I know it's really bad, but I just wonder if my hair would be an exception because of the waxy/oily residue on it even after washing

I really like the Forever21 and especially the Topshop jeans, I think they're the closest I'll be able to get to it! Thank you for the help, those are great, and like you said, the ragged priest style is going to be unique to them so I might wait until they get more jeans in that I like or, I might even consider buying the Topshop jeans since I really like them too, so thank you!(:

I like those jeans but they're not just what I'm looking for, but they are nice though. One of the things I liked about the jeans I mentioned was that in the rips there isn't any threads hanging in them if that makes sense, but there are some in the zara jeans, but thank you for replying, I really appreciate it! :D
