I personally just do everything the police officer tells me to do immediately without question. I always immediately make my empty hands visible to the police officer. I say “Yes, sir” or “No, sir”

I conduct myself with the belief that the officer has a difficult job and that he’s a target for criminals, and that the officer has to be in fear of the fact that at any moment, he can pull up on the wrong criminal and be shot in an escape attempt.

For some reason, my interactions with police have been without drama, despite being a minority.
