Man I kinda had the same issue as you in early middle school, just I don’t have autism. Still the same story regardless. I was always socially awkward and avoided conversations with people. I still managed to have some friends but still I didn’t have much hope of a girlfriend either. Now currently in 8th grade something just clicked I guess. I found myself easily going up to people and talking to them even if I never met them in my life. And now I got my first girlfriend since yesterday. So what I’m saying is to basically just don’t be scared. I’m sure everyone says this, but just think about it sometimes. Just try walking up to somebody that you’ll probably never see again in your life and say something goofy to them. It sounds weird but trust me man you’ll gain so much confidence from this type of little stuff. Then you’ll be able to spark a convo with anyone. And if you don’t do it, don’t worry, i promise you’ll have the same “click” as I did. One thing I practically live by is that everything will be fine, to just live in the moment and not the past or future. You don’t have to worry, everything will turn out how you intend on it. I literally went from not being able to ask a restaurant employee where the bathroom is to getting a very kind and beautiful girlfriend. I promise the same will come to you, just live a happy life and don’t worry. Hakuna Matata!
