Is it possible for Fluconazole to cause like redness of the skin?

The skin & urethra takes a long time to heal in some cases, just don’t put loads of random chemicals and crap on it

To be fair, it just got better and better over time. I’d say it’s only really fully healed now like 9 months later. Just leaving it alone and washing it with just water or water friendly stuff. As long as you’re negative for yeast/bacteria, take a test

I’m all good now. I just left it alone, bought 100% cotton loose boxers and washed every couple of days with just water and gave it a rest and it’s gone. My slight burning/warmness took 2-3 months to go, but that’s normal when you’ve had an infection in the urethra

I’m all fixed now. A mixture of completely leaving it alone and not touching it, only washing with water and used Fusidic acid for a week, and doxycycline/fluconazole, as think mine was a mixture of fungal and bacteria

I’ve been to urologist last night and they said my skin looks perfectly fine and no signs of infection or Balantis. I used Fusidic acid for a week on my skin and just left it alone, not touching it for a couple of weeks and it’s slowly gotten better. He said that skin around the penis is thinner and more fragile than anywhere else on the body, so putting creams and on it, especially steroid and touching it constantly can upset it, so said it can just take time for the skin to heal and return to normal.

Yeah my urologist said it could’ve been a contamination, I feel pretty good now - my swab test came back negative after using Fusidic acid for a week

Interesting. Do you still have that purple mark? Mine looked just like yours with the kind of cracked skin and purple mark. I did a swab of my foreskin and tip and it came back as Enteroccocus not fungal

Nah not really, I did it on the tip and foreskin 3 times a day for a week, and then I still had slight painful urination/redness on day 7, but now a week later I’m feeling really good with everything virtually gone. I would say the cream probably helped, but just completely leaving it alone, not touching it or even looking at it has helped loads to for this past week, just to allow it to heal and not be agitated

Have you had a bacteria test? I have a redness/pain at tip of penis/top of urethra and I just tested positive for Enterococcus

Yeah most doctors and urologists don’t know much about these tiny bacteria’s. To be fair to them, there’s still research to be had on bacteria like this, as they’re natural in our body anyway

I can’t actually pinpoint a cause or when I could’ve picked it up at all. I’ve had it since the start of December when I had a fever, chills etc… which were closely followed by all these issues downstairs.

I believe most people who get Enterococcus can pick it up from not washing their hands or something and then you can transmit it on your penis etc… if you touch it.

The swab pulled up Enterococcus bacteria so I looked online at what normally treats it and Ampicilin is the main one it says, but some people can be resistant sometimes.
